1939 Mercedes W154 is not able to drive fullspeed in a straight line.
With a simulationlevel other than “Cosmetic damage only” the W154 is undriveable with Stock and Sport tyres.
Its impossible to drive the mulsane fullspeed without crashing into the sidebarrier. The car moves from left to right across the entire street so you have to countersteer.
Tried these cars on career mode class B and A respectively and they are IMPOSSIBLE to drive, has anyone tested these type of cars on career mode? I think they are broken. I tested them on the same condtions and tracks outside career mode and i could drive them with no problem.
On career mode they have no grip at all even with TCS on. Could anyone test it ?
I’ m using Mercedes Benz 300 srl for career mode open classe B, car Is totally undrivable, in every turn It oversteers like Crazy even with TCS on, in free play mode Is normally drivable in same conditions
No It doesn’ t help, you find yorself drifting in every corner, the ai Cars makes every turn perfectly.
I know that this Cars were not Easy to drive but o don’ t think that you cannot take therm on the Road like in forza
I had the same problem where they were almost impossible to drive (think it’s a glitch) but have since discovered a solution which makes them way more stable to drive.
What You need to do is set Your fuel level at 100% before the race starts and they then become drivable.
Hope it helps
There’s problem with car weight balance on empty fuel tank, it seems like game sets whole 400l fuel tank on rear axle only in Merc w154 and since originally car weights 1200kg with full fuel tank, and have 50/50 balance, if we reduce fuel to 10% (it’s enough for medium length race), it removes ~360kg from rear wheels and that moves car center of weight to ~71/39, what makes car completely undrivable, and it’s not realistic.
W154 have 2 fuel tanks, one behind driver, and one between driver and engine.
To make things simple, we can assume, that irl 75% of fuel weight is distributed to rear wheels and rest to front.
That would make ~300kg of fuel weight sitting on rear wheels, so when reducing fuel to 10% we reduce weight on rear wheels by ~ 270kg
And that would change car weight balance from 50/50 (on 100% fuel) to ~61/39 (on 10% fuel) and that is more manageable that what we have currently. Tho im pretty sure that fuel weight distribution is more like 65-70% rear. (And that would move car weight distribution on 10% fuel, to more like 55%-60% front weight.)
Hmm i did some tunning on MB W154 and u can drive with ~40% of fuel quite normaly, its over 200kg weight reduction in fuel alone so i think not being able to drive with 5% fuel is ok… XD car would be way too fast
-Open class tour - B
-First track, Silverstone - Racing circuit.
The car handles great on training laps, but not possible to control it when it’s time for race. A Totaly different car to drive. No traction at all in race mode compared to training mode. Super weird. Also behavies great in free play, but not in Open class B race…
W154 and 300 SLR have rly big fuel tank ~400L, if u use low fuel level, u will lose rear tyre grip, I suggest using min 50% fuel, I personally drive these cars with 75% fuel.
