I sincerely hope you guys observe the vehicles in real life first before deciding on laser scanning and modelling them for your games.
The infamous plastic trim surround connecting the headlights to the grille is supposed to matte finish and should not be paintable. When selecting paint group 3, the inaccurately finish and color of the trim - changes color with the rest of the Dark Horse livery?
The Dark Horse grille/headlight connecting trim is matte black and is made of reinforced composite, essentially matte plastic. It is NOT glossy grey.
It has a completely different finish, color and texture from the painted surface and the Dark Horse livery and is an unpainted surface from the factory since it is trim piece, a desig signature.
Earnestly requesting to pay attention the cars that make your game - fix the actual plastic trim color and finish of the Dark Horse - and remove it from the paint group option!
We are currently unable to change the livery color without affecting the inaccurately finished grill trim!
Also why are the lower intakes poorly rendered and filled with white cotton!
I appreciate that is a paintable and vinyls can be applied to those pieces. The more options, the better. Nothing is worse for us livery creators than unpaintable surfaces. That being said, it’s a few button press to make that trim matte.
Yeah that bothered me a lot. The grille should have either been unpaintable or its own standalone paint group. The white behind the grills and vents looks like a missing texture
It’s the inaccuracy of the car model’s details that matters here! That’s always been my concern. The liveries do not fix the issue. The splitter is still hideous due its mismatched color and finish compared to the rest of the vehicle’s ground effects
The Dark Horse’s signature trim around the front grille and headlights, is not represented correctly in color and finish. They are supposed to be unpaintable matte black plastic. Nothing against the livery artists - and the few button presses is not a solution to the inaccuracy.
The already inaccurate trim also shouldn’t be affected by the paint group option. How do you change the livery color without uglifying the already bad trim with the same color?
It’s ridiculous that the car cannot be driven without downloading liveries due to the awful front trim, splitter color and finish along with the unfinished poor front inner textures . Sad to see this being undrivable IMO since unlocking it due to how bad it looks.
