Not sure how to expand on it anymore really.
It’s dreadful, handles nothing like a Caterham should do. They’re like karts in reality. This car feels like it has jelly for tyres.
Did the devs put any effort into it?

The Caterham R500 is (one of) the most hardcore versions of the car with an insane power for the little weight it has. It was designed to be a handful to drive and it lives up to that.
With the right upgrades and tune it can become easier to drive, maybe some of them are already available.
If you want a less hardcore version of the Caterham in the game, vote for it here:
(sidenote, don’t forget to vote on your own topic)
‘Lets make it handle purposely bad’ is what I take from that.
Ever been in one? Nothing like in the game.
Poor and lazy development is all it is.
I have been given a passenger ride in a 160, and yes that rides like a kart.
That’s a wrong take, see it as a challenge to drive, something to master.
A challenge? What’s the point of making the cars something they’re not
Same with the McLaren Senna. That is an absolute dog on this game too. Maybe they’ve just got something against the British cars because we’re not just straight line monkeys
I mean having the right tunes would significantly help. I tune my caterham and i dont have your problem cause i completely redone the suspension, roll bars, bump and rebound. And it is a calm car with a bit of power that will come out from under you. Like the R35 nismo and 370z nismo and more have a lot of understeer issues that is easily fixable to be grip monsters by adjusting the front roll bars and front suspension.
That’s great.
However I’m talking about the base car being absolutely shocking. Which it’s nothing like in reality…
Then again with how bad the rest of the cars are out of the box in this game what do we expect.
