About 1am Eastern Standard Time last night, whenever I tried to buy out an auction, it told me the bid had failed. I tried to bid on something else and got the same message. It’s now been over 12 hours and I still cannot bid on anything. I haven’t done or created anything that would violate the terms of service and I can still sell on the auction house.
Any ideas or suggestions?
have you tried hard resetting / cold booting your console properly yet including pulling the power cable out from the wall
I held down the power button for ten seconds, waited ten seconds, unplugged the power supply from the wall, waited twenty seconds, plugged the power supply back in and booted back up. Still can’t bid on or buy out any auctions.
I did buy like 40ish cars last night, is there a 24 hour limit on how many I can buy maybe?

Before last friday there was no limit for the number of cars you could buy within 24 hours. Friday I already made a subject about this limit as I also could not bid anymore after what I could recall buying 44 cars within 24 hours. Probably Turn 10 is not too happy about the fact that a small group of players (including me) buy Forzathon prize cars in bulk and sell them later for big profit to new users and users that didn’t play the game for some time. Maybe this is a better way that repeat the Forzathon events (Terradyne Gurka) within a couple of weeks but it will also mean that a bigger group of players will complain they can not sell their cars in the AH. I only wish that Turn 10 communicate changes like this as I spend at least 1 hour last friday reset my modem, rebooting my computer as I thought it had something to do with my internet connection. But as we all know communication is an art (…not understood by the good people of Turn 10)
People have been discussing the auction house limit since day one so it’s not anything new

I only wish that Turn 10 banned scalpers like yourself. It’s a game not a real life situation of making money.
I get it, and yes maybe I’ve never hit the limit before. I’ll test a few things over the next few days and see if I can reasonably confirm this is what’s going on. I’m pretty sure it resets after 24 hours but isn’t a rolling reset like the auction limit.
FH3 is an open world game with lots of different ways to enjoy… right? Personally I don’t really enjoy making designs. Will I ask for bans for designers? Call them names? No.
Writing about my experiences here on this forum in reply to a problem of another user, sometimes provoke people like Blackdog35 to… let’s call it typical reactions.
So while it is okay to have reached level 1000 and earned 253 million xp it is not okay to buy and sell cars in the AH? Do you really believe that 1 person selling 25 cars in 1 days or buying 44 cars in 1 day make any dent in the AH where thousands of cars are sold every day? Unless you are a grumpy old man who’s main purpose in life is telling other people what to do or not to do, I suggest we respect how each of us play the game and just enjoy it. And when somebody has a problem or question, reaction to the question and not react to the person.
And in the case you are really a grumpy old man and want to react to this post, I will read it… shake my head and don’t spend another second of my life thinking about it.
