This model, launched in 2006, was first badged Fiat Grande Punto S2000 during the first two years. It was only in 2008, after the constitution of the Abarth Corse team that it became Abarth Grande Punto S2000.
Developed for the automobile rally with the aim of racing in the IRC championship, the Grande Punto S2000 began in 2006 in the hands of Italian drivers. She won the first edition of the IRC and the Italian Rally Championship in 2006 and 2007.
This car has a 1,997 cc Fiat-Abarth engine with a displacement of 275 horsepower, an all-wheel drive with 6-speed sequential gearbox.
The Abarth Grande Punto S2000 won the European Rally Championship four times in 2006, 2009, 2010 and 2011. Between its participation in the first race in 2006 and its withdrawal in 2011, the Punto S2000 won more than 100 rallies in various regional, national and international championships
