The last one can take AGES to show up, I know folks who waited weeks for it.
An AC Cobra would be an obvious choice for a barn find, the British ancestor to the Shelby Cobra; with a smaller engine.

Well, since we’ve been shown 100 of the first cars, I think it’s time to predict which ones will be Barn Finds. My guesses so far are the Alpine, Jag 120, Microbus, and Willys. Those are all brand new to the series and fit in with what we were told about half of the Barn Finds being all new. Maybe a couple more will make sense as they introduce more cars?
I was just playing around on FM5 and thought the recently-added 1939 Audi Auto Union Type D would be a good candidate for a barn find.
This was essentially a real-life barn find. Granted, that was in Russia, but it is still a great classic car.
As this was in FM5, it has been in Forza but never in FH.

The AU Type D would be an EXCELLENT barn find, but there’s one problem: it’s open wheel. The FH1 engine could not render open wheeled cars (lacking animated suspension bitz), and FH2 on the 360 uses same engine.
Since both versions of FH2 will have the same car list, this limitation would exclude open wheel cars from both, even though the XB1 version COULD pull it off. Of course, it remains to be seen if the DLC for both games will be the same.
EDIT: If we DID get a car like this, I’d rather have the Maserati 8CTF or Ferrari 375. They look and sound better.
Open-wheel cars have already been confirmed with the addition of the Atom, so it’s an official possibility.
Anyways, I heard around that the cars they have shown will be available from the store, I was kinda already hoping that the Barn Finds would be with cars I didn’t know about so it would actually be a surprise. I don’t think they announced the FH1 barn find cars before release, but if they did I missed that article.
What I think they should really do is one of the most legendary barn finds in history, the Plymouth Superbird or the Dodge Charger Daytona. With the pointed nose and high spoiler and everything. They had it in FM4, and it was one of my favorite vehicles. It would be so great if they had it back in as a barn find.
My second request would be for the DeTomaso Pantera, which we haven’t confirmed yet. That would be awesome.
I agree entirely! Finding a Superbird or a Charger Daytona in a barn is like hitting a vein of gold. But I doubt they’ll even be in the game, the Superbird has never appeared in a Forza title and the Daytona didn’t appear at all in FM5; and the running tally is that FH2 has no new Muscle Cars that hasn’t already been in a previous Forza title. Of course that could change in the remaining releases, but it’s not something I’d hold my breath over.
Frankly I’m a little surprised that the 69 SS Camaro hasn’t made the list so far, considering it got a significant face lift for Forza 5, and that it’s been a Forza staple since the first title.
Im willing to bet a few £’s that the bugatti type 57 will be a barn find, only saying this because your man Ralph said in an interview that some of the barn finds are inspired from real life, one of the most famous and arguably the best barn find ever was a type 57C Atlantic, only thing is, i cant imagine its an easy car for them to track down and capture for the game, guess we will have to wait and see!.

I bet that the Alpine, the Jeep, the Westfalia will be some barn finds in the game, as they are new.

I totally agree on at least the Jeep. I’d also be surprised if the VW camper van isn’t a barn find. It’s European and an obvious choice for something someone might forget about in a barn…
I am guessing licensing plays a partial deal in which cars appear as barn finds and which don’t. Some car companies don’t want to see their cars all rustic looking in games, and since the cars looked old rustic in Forza Horizon 1, they probably have to agree to it.
On a side note, I hope that they let us customize the barn finds ourselves. I would love to get an old Ford Deluxe Coupe to remain with its rustic appearance, but fully tune the thing. You can repeat the rustic look in paint, yes, but not the chrome bumpers or headlight covers.
Have they said anywhere the Barn Finds will not include the cars they’ve already revealed? If not, I’ll bet dollars to donuts that the VW Type 2 Bus will be one.
They haven’t said whether or not that would be the case.
I personally wish they would NOT be revealed, but then I would have to try and dance around the forums and Facebook trying avoid spoilers.

I see everybody talking Ferraris and other rare and expensive cars and here I am thinking “There probably aren’t too many jeeps in europe but a few may have slipped through the cracks from WWII.” I think that would make sense as a barn find. Along with the VW Bus
I think the barn finds should all be wishlists because apparently those are quite difficult to find.

I hear one of the barn finds is the Halo Warthog. Cos you know, Xbox TV studio shutting down, and they just left the Warthog in a French field after filming. ROFL
