Barbie gift cars, FH5 contest, livestream, dolls, Xbox controller/console

Why would you think “racing” games are for men/boys? If a girl/woman would want to play this game. I doubt a barbie car would make much of a difference. Racing is not a gender thing at all.

my only complaints about these cars is: 1. no awd option for the vette and 2. the hummer is the same exact vehicle performance-wise and has the exact same upgrades as normal version. missed opportunity there imo. on a side note, the vette is a little beast if tuned properly. i tuned it to the top of b class and smoked the competition at Playa Azul circuit in highly skilled difficulty.

Cousins once removed (my cousins little girls, aged 4 and 8) are all about racing, Hot Wheels, and the typical girly stuff like Barbies and Unicorns – but very rarely does it cross over with their toys from what I gather when I get invited to “tea parties” haha

If anybody can find a useful build for that EV corvette, let me know….i can’t find one. Only seems good for A class online drift lobbies.

No drivetrain swap, no useful off-road build and no aero for road builds. Seems like another “here’s your rushed movie tie-in car now get lost” kinda design.

At least with the hummer, I can try the engine swap and still stuff it in A class for CC.

At least they’re free and not tied into purchasing the movie….(unlike some previous F and F cars).

I’m not happy about another tie-in, but at least these are just gift cars and not another advertisement disguised as a story while the core gameplay goes ignored.

The people responsible for adding new cars to the game I feel are the few people who I feel actually have some passion for the game and their heads screwed on right. While I would much, much, much prefer these cars be something else, I suspected this was an order from above, and they managed to achieve it without impacting the regular release schedule. Thumbs up to that.

I don’t always agree with the additions to this game, but they all end up feeling unique, usually in ways that they should feel unique. That’s way more important than getting the cars I want in the game. No point in getting the cars I want of its just a skin, an affectation.

I wish there rest of the staff, or (more likely) whoever is responsible for directing the efforts of the rest of the staff, weren’t so pants-on-head.

But at the end of the day it’s yet another product tie-in of a parade of them while core issues get ignored. Hence this thread: Stop with the product tie-ins

The Vette has a ludicrous drag wall over ~240 km/h and very low mechanical grip. A800 road build was awful. Although on Race tires it wheelspins until 90 and then hits the wall very quickly.
Best use outside of drifting was a B700 build on Rallies.
Good low speed acceleration and the grip of the Rallies makes it decent on tracks like Cathedral (1:02s) or Los Jardines (58s).
It completely tanks as soon as a track requires any sort of speed.

And even with stock engine on Rallies it has traction issues. Make sure to install Race suspension to tune out the mid-corner oversteer.

I mean. I think the Barbie movie is a bit more grounded relative to the game compared to the current FatF franchise.

I’m not sure if that will attract better part of population into this game, but I’m all in for that. :+1:

Pink Vette … why not, I don’t care what other think, so bring it :stuck_out_tongue:

Whens the BRATZ bus DLC?

I dont want to go another series championship without running my Skyline up along side by side into the Stadium chicane with this thing.

That’s not really a confirmation when any car in the game can do that.

I don’t think they actually drive cars in F&F anymore, pretty much everything is CG and the whole car culture concept of the original movies is long past gone.

If you read my comment you will note that at no point did i say that racing games, or games in general, or racing in general, is only for men/boys. Im not quite sure how you got that out of me saying that “i think encouraging more girls to play games is a good thing”
Plus if you look at the promotional material its not just barbie cars in forza but a barbie line up with xbox attire and that is what i think is a major possitive.

I’m with ya there… whats next…Flintstone mobile :no_entry_sign:

Why are u trying to drive it?

Ya beat me to it! I logged on late today…better idea than giving it away… it would still be in the game. :face_with_symbols_over_mouth:

I’m fine with this whole thing because they were gifts, not playlist rewards. that would have been a bit much.

I like oddballs and wanted an EV that could be used in a lower class than useless EV hypercars that don’t reach the upper limit of the S2 class. In that sense the Barbie Corvette suits me.

However, this car disappointed me in two ways.
No AWD conversion. Needless to say, Horizon is a game for AWD, and not being able to choose AWD reduces the upgrade potential of this car.
And the narrow rear tires. As mentioned earlier, this car cannot choose AWD conversion. And yet, we can only choose tires up to 245 at the most. In other words, this car does not get enough traction or grip.

If an update adds AWD conversion, this car would be more usable, but they won’t do that for just one promotional car.
In other words, this little pink Corvette will live out its life as a garage collection.

Pinkvette A class with OG tire compound is an Ok drifter. Fun but can’t get more than 85% of PB.

It would be nice if it was possible to add 4WD to see if it’s good for dirt racing.

The Barbie Hummer like the GMC Hummer EV is bugged. It can lose the skill tree upon smashing a cactus while sliding and the hit came on the side of the vehicle.

Lol….thanks Rayne….that was actually the final build I went with (B with rallies) before you even posted. Great minds think alike. Still mostly not great. Wondering if a support ticket requesting AWD swap is worth it….probably not.
