Aston Martin Racing + NOMOS Watches = These Liveries

Cars: Aston Martin Vulcan (FE) and DB11
Livery: AMR NOMOS

I was looking for inspiration to paint and looked down at my watch, and thus began the process of replciating it in-game and designing a livery around the watch and brand. I chose Aston Martin because their designs are very smooth and uncluttered, much like the Bauhaus movement that inspire Nomos, and am really happy with the results. Both cars use a semigloss or brushed aluminium base as it replicates the face of the watch really well in how it catches the light which is diffult to capture in photos but I think they do alright.

Here we have #12 AMR NOMOS on the Vulcan FE (Sorry, only FE for now, can’t afford the Vulcan), and #24 AMR NOMOS on a DB11.

Using brushed aluminium as a base to replicate the reflections of a metallic object… you’ve taught me a trick there!

And indeed, those liveries are absolute gold. So cleanly and neatly done! Quite impressive!

I’m a watch collector. This Nomos paint I’m going to have to add to my collection. Awesome job! The timepiece looks surreal.

Shame the Livery comps are on hold at the mo, I reckon you would’ve had a dead cert for a Featured design there.

KiloCharlie, I’m a huge fan of watches also, if you’ve got any suggestions on watches you’d like to see as a livery I’m all ears. Next project will be a Casio Edifice based livery I think, maybe on the NSX.

MIDNYTE DUBH, maybe when/if the livery comps come back I’ll submit it, that would be real nice. Wouldn’t say no to the chance to grab a Pista in one of the comps here.
