Any body looking for some rally stages?

Hello guys!

I have been thinking about starting a little rally challenge series.

A few stages with about 3-4 classes of cars doing timed runs over a course in free roam. We would have some jury to check if you are hitting the checkpoints and what your time is.
We would give points for each stage and at the end you will win the tournament and the fame. :stuck_out_tongue:

The classes would be for instance be:

A class RWD, A class AWD, S1, RWD and Unlimited.

I have about 5-6 stages we could run in different directions to keep it fun.

If this sounds like fun for some of you, reply and Ill make a little rulebook and such.

Donā€™t know how we can better advertise this but you can count me and my one and only club member in! weā€™ve been talking about this ourselves. Iā€™ve got an a-rwd based off the original Lancia 037 rally car and a Stratos just begging for this kind of fun. Iā€™m currently building a Soobie. Im getting started in rally-X in real lifeā€¦ I may run a few stages a year but itā€™s too expensive to do full-time.

Forza Horizon 2 helps fill that aching void lol

I have been racing some dirt tracks with my phone as a stopwatch just to kill the boredom but I have 15+ rally cars good to go.

Im looking for a few more guys and than Ill make like a little ā€œrulebookā€ just to get some classes and such.

Ill keep you guys posted and hit me up with a friend request, always looking for more fun!

Iā€™m actually in the process of building a real stage-rally spec Soobie right now :wink: if you want some help for building the cars for our ā€œrulebookā€ Iā€™m more than willing to help out.

Basics, which Iā€™m sure you know, but Iā€™ll share with others are three different ā€œtypesā€ =
AWD
FWD
and
RWD

Believe it or not, FWD is usually the ā€œstarter carā€ for Rally. Big thing to make it realistic would be having in-cockpit only view, TCS, STM, and ABS OFF. = happily honor code would work. Cars without these settings and tuned right will indeed run faster in the dirt.

Basically, itā€™s FWD, then to AWD and then some move on to RWD for a fully-rounded experience. So something like the 037 or Stratos would be ā€œtop tierā€ cars being mid-engine and RWD. And they are difficult.

Iā€™ve built quite a few, to spec. Basically take a car, any car. Gut it with race weight, add the Storm Island shocks, and tires, Raceweight flywheel, and cage and voila! Starter spec rally car.

then adding power to the engine, and upgrading to race diffs and the storm island gearbox definitely starts the ā€œaction.ā€

Iā€™ve also built a 037 to actual historically correct B-monster group spec at I think 425 hp. Man sheā€™s a blast, and hits the A-class limit without the rally tires. And sheā€™s squirrely without them. But in a group of like-minded drivers, itā€™d be easy. Weā€™d have very similar cars, with similar objectives.

Also, in online play, setting it via ā€œfreeroamā€ and then ā€œcollisions offā€ makes it a great time. In reality cars race off in 5 minute intervals usually to keep drivers from getting near each other. Basic fact, hardcore stage rally is dangerous enough with the elements, not needing other cars to heighten the tension. That, and the driving lines are very obtuse and take up the whole road most times in sweepers and hard corners.

Also, to start out, there are quite a few ā€œcross countryā€ events in-game that are very accurate. One in Casteletto comes to mind.

Iā€™m talking to former RB drivers but most of them are pc gamers :(. I can see if a few of my forza friends want to join in though they are all around racers.

Iā€™m making rally car liveries so pm me what you want and i will make it happen. I also will make prizes for this if you want like 50,000 cr for 3rd place and 5th place a car design and stuff like that. If things go well we can even throw in a few game codes and things maybe.
