As per the title, video settings are changed from what I carefully setup to a random resolution and dynamic settings. This has been happing in Froza 6 Apex PC as well.
No other game I have ever played in 20 years has done this. Incompetence !
What do you mean by “PC update” in the title? Do you mean Windows Update? Yesterday my PC rebooted while playing Forza full-screen as part of a forced Windows Update. I thought it was just another CTD but then the boot screen came up & the “updating” percentage thing started going, so I knew it was a reboot due to update.
I could have been clearer. It was a Forza update through the store. I have changed the title.
Side note, I hate that forced update Windows does by default so I disabled it. Now the shutdown menu says “Update and shut down” until I choose to do it which is much better.
Same here, been having this issue for a while, also happens in forza horizon 3 sometimes on pc. I close the game properly. Seems to just be video settings that are reset.

There’s an option to have no own lights which the dynamic settings deem fit for me to drive at night with.
It’s absolutely impossible on the Nordschleife and spoiled my night!
I’m hugely disapointed something like this is even possible.

Language resetting after EVERY!!! Forza-update isn’t a deal-breaker for me - but this is and very much so!
It’s not the first time this happend and I’m hard pressed to reccomend this game if not the opposite…

Wow! There’s me thinking it was just a design of the game update lol
All Forza PC games, Apex, FH3, FM7 and FH4, every time there is any game update it completely resets all graphics options, even putting my resolution to 4k when I have a 1440 monitor…
I have to go in and manually set everything back to how I want them every time.
Also if i set resolution first and then change graphics options, it will then change resolution back to 4k, II have to make sure resolution is the last settings change I make otherwise game keeps changing it.
Horizon 4 doesn’t change settings. It was fixed in an update some time ago. It literally takes me 20 seconds to change the settings back each time. So strange how people lose their minds over the smallest inconveniences these days (considering the other huge problems with the game that could be fixed). Just shows how soft and spoiled society seems to be getting over time. Kind of sad.
Have you tried changingt he settings back? It only takes a few seconds lol.
I mean I had to do this today when I updated my video drivers, It sets my game to 4k by default and some dynamic settings, Changing it back takes maybe 10 secounds and I wont have to do it again for a while, its really not that big of a deal… If it changed keybinds then I would complain if it was vary complex, but its isn’t…
