Just wanted to post in order to bring more attention to the issue. I have a fanatec handbrake connected via usb, and an shh shifter connected vis usb as well. I can bind them via controls but as soon as I go back into game the binds do not work. Then when checking back on the binds page they are all marked unassigned.
I was glad when i saw that there is a new update a few hours ago but when i tested the game i was once more disappointed… nothing was fixed and still we don’t have multiple usb support…no handbrake again!

This is getting ridiculous, some of us pre-order a game for $100 only to find out it doesn’t work with the controllers its meant to be played on… Now I know to never pre-order anything from turn 10 or Forza. Seems like they are ignoring this issue.
It’s so so so so @ucking frustrating! I was expecting from Turn10 and Playground Games to show more responsibility and respect to all wheel drivers who are buying Forza series every single year in order to enjoy their sim rigs. I’ll wait 5-6 more days for a (patch) and if they don’t fix it then i am going for a fully refund without any other word…
UPDATE 29/10: I did manage to fix the problem of the usb and now my second usb device works as a handbrake in the game.
With the help of CodenameJack i found the VidPid number of my handbrake that i had at the demo and i replaced it at the official release.

Is really weird developers not addressing this to issues list. Have to map manually is a successfully workaround but to find a Vidpid is not easy to everybody…

Same story as with Forza Horizon 3 years ago. I have yet again been spending more time on the Forza Horizon forums looking for fixes for stupid bugs like this one, rather than playing the actual game. Was getting my hopes up for this installment. I learned my lesson and got it through game-pass, though. Will just unsubscribe when the month is up. Really glad I didn’t waste another 60 bucks on this.
Still not fixed. Went and installed the demo to try the workaround and the demo doesn’t let me bind the device 2
