Hello, ive never had this issue with a forza game before, ive spent over 200 hours in FH3 and close to 100 in FM7 as well as a few hours in FH2 (refunded because dlc didn’t work, according to support the marketplace shutdown for that game) but with this game, im driving and all of a sudden there are massive chunks of the world missing, then i drive through it and 95% of the time i get stopped and an error message saying “Low Streaming Bandwidth. the game has detected steaming delays, this might be caused by limited disk bandwidth or limited cpu resources” i have 2 Hard Drives and 1 SSD, i have a 1td hard drive that just kinda sits there, a 2tb hard drive (western digital black) that has all my games on it and a 250gb samsung 850 evo for operating system. i’ve tried the solution provided on this thread posted about 2 weeks ago (https://forums.forza.net/turn10_postst131906_Terrain-failing-to-render-disappearing-invisible--PC.aspx), i’ve turned vsync on, set monitor refresh rate to 60hz when its normally 144hz and put in game fps setting to 60fps but i still experience this issue.
Also running into this. There was a bit of it with the demo, but it seems significantly worse in the full release. I’d imagine the streaming part is getting data off the drive, but it’s a Samsung Evo 960 NVMe SSD, which seems like it’d be on the pointy end of data transfer speed. Preset is at Ultra, using G-sync.
Specs:
Intel Core i7 7700k
16 GB DDR4
GTX 1080
Game is installed on a Samsung Evo 960 NVMe M.2 SSD, Windows on a Samsung 840 SATA SSD.

I had this issue too. My specs like everyone in this thread are very good and I have the game installed to an SSD drive. When I get a chance later tonight I’ll post some benchmark results. I also read the thread that OP referenced where people who were playing the demo they had this issue and fixed it by changing refresh rate to 60hz, maybe messing around with vsync settings. I’ll try that later tonight when I get a chance as well.
I’d like to see this fixed, never had problem in FH3 with going over 60hz if that is indeed related to the problem. I sure don’t believe it’s CPU or disk bandwidth related as the message said.
Dropping the quality preset to High instead of Ultra fixed the issue for me. I’m hoping they’ll have more information on what the actual bottleneck is for me, as I can’t really figure out what the weak link in my system is right now, but at least the game’s playable with that change.
Same issue even on low settings with ssd i54670K and a GTX970.
However setting the priority in task manager to high resolves the issue. The only problem with that is that other stuff like discord or spotify wont work properly anymore.
Above normal in changing the priority felt like it gave a boost to it aswell but still sometimes the chunks dissapear tho.
Sounds like it is a widespread issue and would love to see an official confirmation of it being noticed by the devs / looked into.
Gonna try setting a quality preset later to see if it resolves the issue without having to fiddle with the priority settings in task manager.
Hope this helps and the issue can be resolved.
I can remember when i first played the demo (on the same day of release) i didn’t had this issue. But when i played the demo a week ago, i got this bug several seconds after i took the controls of the car (started demo all over).
Hi i have same issue, need some help since i cant Free-roam in game at all beacuse every 5-6 seconds into high speed driving the car stops and warning of low bandwich ;/
Same issue here, running an i7 8086k@5.2ghz and a Evga SC 1080, game is running off of a samsung 256gb ssd. Set priority to high doesnt help after a while, I wonder if its a bug at this point or something like a memory leak (dont quote me on this, not an expert lol)
So im seeing everyone is experiencing the same issue i did, but after fiddling with monitor settings and just putting it back to 144hz, game vsync on, drivers updated for gpu and game fps set to 144 fps (setting above the vsync one). so far since the yesterday i’ve only had it happen like 3 times and restarting it has a high chance to fix the issue, i hope everyone’s game fixes itself like mine did, so far ive got 18 hours in the game and probably only 2 of those hours have been spent with the weird chunk disappearing issue, i imagine they will eventually fix this, probably before the actual release date for the game (october 2nd). and plus im seeing pretty much everyone here has much better specs then me, im planning to update to a 10k pc soon and seeing your specs is making me smile good job for everyone and their beast PC’s. enjoy forza horizon 4 when you aren’t experiencing issues
Do you also get a warning that your video ram is full? Unless you have 11 GB of video card RAM you should not use the Extreme settings, go to Ultra. Similar for those with a 970, you just don’t have enough RAM on your card for the settings you run.
