The Pathfinder Challenge isn’t working. Doesn’t activate no matter what car i use, even the Hennessy 6x6 Doesn’t do anything.

I think you have to pin the accolade. It gives you 10 mins to complete then when you find the start

Didn’t think to pin the accolade, but I completed all 3 for the week. Thought it was odd there was no on screen indication it had started, but I got the accolade completion pop up when I finished each one.

Did you get it to work? I’m having the same issue I think. When I go to the first area, the green balloons to activate the challenge aren’t there. Is that what happened to you? I even pinned, changed cars, restarted the game etc…

same problem on the pc from xbox store version,can’t start the tulum mission because i don’t have any balloons and can’t di the Pantano della selva mission because this time i can see the balloons,but the mission doesn’t start,even if i pin it,both single and multiplayer

I tried it out this week and I can confirm the following (if it generally works):

  1. You do NOT have to pin the accolade for the Pathfinder to work. Neither one (first, second and third Pathfinder).
  2. You just drive between the two green balloons at the starting point for the 10 minutes to start. All Pathfinders had ten minutes time until now.
  3. You drive into the triangle between the three green balloons at the end point to succeed the Pathfinder.
  4. You do NOT have to follow the red balloons. If you know where the end point is, you could drive there directly if you like.
  5. I will test next week if you can drive both directions between the two green ballons to start.
  6. I think you cannot change cars or teleport underway but I wil test this as well.
  7. It looks like that you can use ANY car.
  8. This week on the second Pathfinder there was one erroneous GREEN ballon underway.

So the issues described here could be edition related to Windows Store.

Dosen’t work if you are on fast resume on xbox one x, nothing shows up, game must be exited and you must start up another game, exit that and reload FH5, otherwise it won’t show the baloons.
2 out of 3 trails worked, fast travel to the 3rd starting point, loading loop happens, baloons go away… :frowning:

I’ve tried different vehicles, pinning, unpinning and re-pinning the accolade and restarting the game multiple times, and the balloons to start the pathfinders aren’t appearing. Driving through where they should be doesn’t start the event either.

Same here. I can’t see the balloons.

Update as announced:

  1. You do NOT have to drive between the start ballons to start the Pathfinder - of course you can (from both sides). But to start it is enough to just drive by. The same applies for the finish ballons. You just have to drive nearby to complete the Pathfinder.

  2. As expected you CANNOT do the following while underway: Change car, teleport (of course), changing Horizon Live session (e. g. go offline and online again). All of these situations reset the Pathfinder and you have to start again.

  3. More bugs: In the third season the second Pathfinder description was for the opposite direction. Fourth season: a. Second Pathfinder has dead end in it (maybe on purpose?). b. Third Pathfinder has only one ballon at the finish and the treasure chest does not appear unbroken but already smashed (maybe on purpose?). So I do not know if I got the 250K CR.

  4. As I am generally not using the Xbox Resume (too many bugs in a lot of games) I cannot say if this is causing the non-working Pathfinders but this can pretty well be.

Playing on XSX - all 12 Pathfinders (and all Accolades) successfully completed.

I have the same problem. The balloons dont show up

Same thing here. Even if I restart the game and repin the accolade, the trail will not trigger and there are no balloons on San Sebastian. I have tried it with multiple cars, at multiple times.

I’ve just discovered this problem too. I’ve tried the two pathfinders available to me and they will not spawn, whether pinned or not. Restarts, different cars or visits to the festival site do not help.
Anyone got any answer to this?

They’re not spawning because you’re two weeks late.

The Pathfinders were only for Last Series, you got 3 per week for the month and if you missed them during their week then you can’t complete them.

I assume they’ll return in the future as part of another Playlist in a couple months so you’ll have to wait.

Is this a thing that could actually happen? I was out of the country for a week without computer access and now have a permanently incomplete evolving world lol

Yes, several times in the past they’ve brought back some of the Limited Time PR Stunts and Map Features so people have another opportunity to do them.
