Mario Andretti crashed this car after 188 laps when a brake pad was installed backwards, shown here in the process of locking up a wheel and going off track moments before their race ended.

Bruce McLaren and Mark Donohue’s 4th place finisher
Ronnie Bucknam and Paul Hawkins, credited with 18th place after a mechanical failure with just a few hours remaining
Mario Andretti, driving with Bruce McLaren, fared better at Sebring than LeMans, winning the 12 hour race.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone take the replica as far as actually driving it off the track to show it as the real one!
The paints are looking good! Keep it up!
I was making an effort at being clever. Thanks for the bit of recognition of such. The Ford Chicanes weren’t even there in '67, the first of the two was added in '68, so clearly the name came from the GT40s. But as I was thinking about where to take the photos of the car, first thought, the correct track, then the next thought was Ford chicanes, and then finally, wait, where did Mario wreck that car? It was documented as the wreck beginning as he passed under a Dunlop bridge, though at the time there were two and the track configuration of the era was much different than in the game. I worked with what we are given though.
Still getting caught up on my picture taking an posting of designs. I see someone just posted the 1965 Sebring GT class winning Shelby Daytona Coupe. Here is the 1964 car now too. I figured this thread was a good place for it to capture all of my 60’s endurance racing cars.
Holbrook and McDonald beat the '65 winners by 4 laps. I’m not sure what was up with the funky number sizing but that’s really how it ran.
