Just like been at E3 I am feeling that T10Studios will announce and publish a new track DLC at Gamescom. I would also like to discuss which track should be next ?
Rumors point to Monza; however, I have a feeling there is a chance Turn10 may throw us all for a loop and give us a different new track like VIR or COA.
I would be happy to have any new track, this would put FM5 over the top and make its the best racing game ever.
without adding to a “wishlist”, I hope you are right and Turn 10 does announce a new DLC track. I guess Microsoft said there would be some surprise but I doubt a Forza DLC track is what they are hinting at. Still, I would love you to be right and hear another announcement from T10
There is a track wishlist thread for this very reason - to post and discuss the tracks you would like to see in the future in either FM5, or more than likely, FM6 and it can be found at this link.
Regardless of how OP “feels” there has been nothing definitive from Turn 10 regarding the release of a new track or even any new DLC for that matter. We know for sure that there is a promotional Infiniti DLC coming out and there has been a hint that “more DLC will be coming in the days and months ahead” but nothing has been confirmed past the Infiniti pack.
I think there’s some confusion about that. We know that the Infiniti Car Pack won’t be the last DLC. That was confirmed by Helios. We don’t know when It’s coming or what It will include but a new track seems likely in my opinion.
The problem with Yas Marina is that the real-life layout sucks. Of you mean the sticky grass issue that has been beaten to death as to the whole “Is it realistic?” for a while, I offered to test the theory, but no-one has offered me a car, access to a real track and the appropriate safety gear.
Anyway, here’s hoping for a new track! Anything that doesn’t suck.
It’s not the sticky blue stuff, it’s how you can shave like 10 seconds off your lap time cutting that track, and as we know there’s always at least 1 person for every 6 players that’s willing to play dirty and cut. Off topic though, are we sure Turn 10/Forza will be at Gamescon? For some reason I didn’t think they were going.
That’s how the real track is though. Watch the GP3 finale from last year and you’ll see it’s just a cut-fest where you can carry extra speed into corners and not lose anything if you get it wrong because of the car park’s worth of run-off.
I, personally, want some mountain passes, for some of us touge fans. Fujimi Kaido is a missed circuit by many, me included, and I’d like to see it back. Tricky inconsistent asphalt with surface patches, potholes, wildly varying camber, and tricky racing lines all make for some sketchy races. It’s a challenge that no circuit, not even the Nurburgring, can match, and lord knows that I’d love to chuck a Mazda Miata, Toyota Trueno, Lotus Elan, at an updated Fujimi Kaido with Forza 5’s brilliant physics.
I also hope they bring back Sonoma/Infineon Raceway. That was my favorite circuit in Forza 4. It was challenging, narrow, and fun. That one horseshoe corner in the middle of the track was epic to take flat-out. Why it wasn’t in Forza 5 is beyond me.
We are still missing so many great tracks from FM4, like Suzuka, Twin Ring Montegui, Sedona, Tsukuba, etc. But another track that is new to the series will also be very much welcome. But a track with many in-game variations will be even more awesome!
