I’ll ask this here since we can’t post to the area with the Forum FAQ in it. What is the breakdown for Forum rankings? We have the ranking list provided. But, no numbers are given telling us where the cutoff is for each rank. Been curious about this for months.

Afraid not. I know ManteoMax is about. But, he has ignored my PM. :frowning:

I would have settled for “I don’t know” if that is the case. Then again, sometimes I forget to reply to people too. So, I can’t get upset about it. I guess I just have to post 1000 times a day until my rank changes. Then I will know. LOL

If they put a post counter under your info, some would just start posting nonsense for th sake of posting and making that number go up. This way it helps keep the posts, somewhat, relephant.

It’s a sad commentary that we all live in a world where the rules are made based on the lowest common denominator. One where normal people are forced to live under a system designed to control the Wal-Martians, morons, rejects and other assorted riffraff. :frowning:

When testing the new forums prior to their going public we actually asked that forum ranks be removed entirely for the same reason that we will not reveal what rank is unlocked at what post count now. That being there exist certain individuals who, despite adding no real value to our forum and community, think they could take a shortcut to or essentially purchase the perceived legitimacy and trustworthiness of elevated forum rank by spamming the forum with a thousand posts a day.

Thanks for this, Hiero. It is logical, if somewhat aggravating, that we have to compensate for these types of, in the immortal words of Mr. B. Bunny: “maroons”.

Logically, it’s similar to the Legacy Forums. If I go there (they are still accessible for me), I will see the number of posts necessary.
(Since Mods don’t want me to post that, I won’t.)

interesting how the xbox forums and halo shows what to do to get ranks and badges. but I really dont care about rank. just having fun on the forums
