When will a lot of car models will be finally done right? Like the VW Golf I or the Volvo 240? These are eurpean cars, not US.
Will the unrealistic moving windshield wipers ever be fixed and act more realistic. The animation of them is ridiculous in 2026. Also they still don’t have real weather physics like other modern racing games have.
Why is the rim selection a pain of hell of scrolling and has not just a manufacturer selection, like EVER other racing game with rim selection?
Will the rewind system be fixed and updated someday? It’s still untouched since FM 3 (2009) and mostly the player has to rewind 2 times after crashes etc…
How long will the old school Forzatech-Engine last? For an open world racing game, it’s on it’s limits. Even on a high end PC it looks too bad, compared to other games. “Tokio” is a village, very unrealistic and more a bad joke and looks more like a english town, the cars have no real time (raytraced-)reflections in cockpit view - they have switching still images (!) instead and the opponents are using the same cheap “reflection-trick” with very pixelated images… Also the AI wins still no prizes and never will with such an old engine.
Will there ever be seperetad online lobbies to separate the crash testers from the good drivers?
Why FH 6 came out with so much bugs? Hopefully they will be fixed soon…I.e. Game progress bug/loosing game progress, menu graphics bug, not working map filters, controller vibration bug, etc…
Is that FOMO-staff really necessary? Nobody i’m reading in forums wants this unnecessary “feature” (anymore).
Why there’s no music track selection and the ability to create a own playlist?
What’s the matter that the upgrade system still hasn’t improved and why there’s still not more optical tuning? I.e. mufflers oder head- and taillights?
Also there are still so much famous european cars missing, requested so often by the community… Nothing happened. It seems that T10 and PGG really don’t know about the importance and influence of car manufacturers in thier countries. They know onley the car culture in USA, England and Japan and forget other important countries, i.e. Opel, Renault, Volvo. Always the same 3-4 car models (if there are so much) from them… PD knows about their importance and influence. Just look at the car rooster in GT7. It’s better, more varied and more current like in FH6. Funny, because GT7 is the much older game.
Why there’s no innovation in the whole game? FH 6 is almost the same like FH 5, just in another scenery and FH 5 was also a lot more fun.
I must say that i’m really looking more forward to the FH competitors coming out, like Clutch or other games and this time i will just finish the campaign stuff in FH 6 and then quit the game and start a New Game+ @ Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2025. I was expecting more from PGG and FH 6 - sorry to say that.
It’s not as bad and boring as FM 2023 was due to lacking content and a boring career mode, but FH 6 is missing something and is more from the same since FH 3 without any big steps forward, missing innovation, wrong car models and an mostly old car rooster, graphical issues and tricks with cheap raytracing, even on high end machines and more bugs ever than before. Currently i would rate it a 6/10.
Isn’t that clear? When I say “such an old engine”, I’m referring to the fact that ForzaTech is nearly 20 years old at its core.
Development of the engine started around 2005/2006 for Forza Motorsport 2 (released in 2007), and although it has been updated many times since then, the underlying architecture still goes back to the XBOX 360 era.
Over the years Turn 10 and Playground have added new features, new rendering tech, and lots of improvements but it’s still the same foundational engine that has been stretched across multiple console generations. That’s why some systems (streaming, threading, AI behavior, world simulation, etc.) feel limited today compared to more modern engines.
It’s almost like Bethesda with their old Creation Engine, but not as bad as them.
So your going to call it a day on FH6? No doubt more stuff will he added but you gotta do whats best for you.If tokyo extreme racer is the same as the dreamcast version i thought it was dull and repetitive.Just my opinion mind.
The VW Golf mk1 has been changed from the early Forzas, when it was a US spec Rabbit. Now it’s a UK spec RHD Golf. I doubt they will have another go at scanning one, unless they plan to visit VW’s museum and scan a whole bunch of cars, like they did a few years ago at Nissan in Japan.
Normally that isn’t a problem but for me as a 3D graphics designer it’s clear to see that the ForzaTech Engine is on it’s limits. That also explains why there was not much evolution within the Forza Motorsport games.
It’s becoming increasingly clear that the ForzaTech engine is reaching its limits, the newer the games built on it become and the more features they are expected to support. It also explains why many older systems haven’t been modernized yet. The developers have already confirmed this themselves: fundamentally improving certain systems, like Drivatars, would take years. Fable will probably still work with it as an RPG — but the more game requirements and features continue to grow, the more the engine shows its limitations, and the more the developers have to rely on tricks that eventually start to bother players and break immersion.
I.e. Fable simply won’t be able to compete technically with the upcoming Witcher 4 — not because of the developers, but because it’s still tied to the aging ForzaTech engine and its severe limitations.
Some ex devs have confirmed that a lot of the development issues with FM were related to the age of the engine and the amount of workarounds they had to use.
There are different parts to the engine. The lighting is fairly new and the physics model was apparently ‘built from the ground up’ for FM23.
For all of FM’s faults the physics felt top tier. There were some bugs like the high bump which seem to have manifested themselves with H6, like the drag tyres.
It seems the FH6 also got very similar controller steering problems as the FM23. I’m still wondering what’s causing them though because now also some wheel users are reporting about these issues. If I remember correctly in FM23 wheel users were generally fine with the steering.
I’ve not encountered any steering issues at all with controller. If anything it feels better than FM. The sim twitch isn’t as bad as FM but that’s probably related to increased artificial friction and grip compared to the more sim related physics in FM
This indeed is the interesting part. For some it’s fine, others say it’s undriveable. This has led me wondering if it’s a platform or a controller / wheel type specific problem.
All I know my controller is fine, I’ve updated, recalibrated and tested it but the problems still occurs.
Since the begining, you can can’t change car while in rivals, it’s really annoying to exit (loading) re-enter (loading) choose class (loading) etc… Same for changing Class or Race type.
Horizon Play:
Mixing Up Sprint and Race is annoying too, because we can’t change the car’s tuning.
Keep the same active season for all type of races (i don’t know how ppl play, maybe they got multiples tunings from the same car ? i don’t have time to farm for getting 4x the same car for each type of races)
Dirt Races:
Why most of them are 80% asphalt 20% dirt ? Or maybe you’'ll release a REAL Rally DLC with 100% dirt race ?
