For those who appreciate well engineered performance production cars, the BMW E92, E46 M3’s are some of the more iconic cars on the market. Though I am very grateful that T10 has included both cars in the majority of Motorsport Franchise titles I have a few points to share regarding areas needing improvements:
Cosmetic:
-E92 M3 model does not look as aggressive as the real world counterpart; panel gap, especially the front bumper cover interface with the front fenders is too big.
-Overall stance of the car makes it look like an E92 335 coupe more so than an M3. The E92 M3 side profile slopes downward from rear to front, rear wheel offset is off, and fender gap is excessive on the front.
-It appears the E92 M3 model is a carryover from an earlier iteration of the game, FM3? with very minor changes made along the way. When compared to some of the newer models such as the F82 M4, the model looks far inferior as far as accuracy. Finer details of the car are also omitted namely; Shift lights on the tachometer etc.
-Both the E92 and E46 M3’s offered Competition packages. The E92 even offered GTS and even CRT models. The E46 offered CSL and GTR models that are all more sought after by M enthusiasts as compared to the trims included in the series. Why weren’t these included in the game instead of the regular trims?
-The C7 ZO6 Vette is excellent from a performance standpoint, but the wheel offset is way off on the rear diminishing the very aggressive stance the real car has.
-991 911 Turbo S has a gauge cluster that is blurry, and so does the Bentley Bentayga
-FF Mercedes AMG GTS stance is pretty messed up.
Performance:
-When selected in a drag race, the E46, E92, and F82 M3’s run very close to each other, when in real life these cars are significantly different from a straight line performance standpoint. The difference is especially very drastic when comparing the E92 and the F82.
-1 Series M is underrated from a performance stand point. This car should be able to keep up with a stock E92 M3 and should be classed very close as well.
-The F10 M5 and F12 M6 performance is near identical. Why is the M6 classed better than the M5? Same applies to the E60 M5 and E63 M6.
I hope I am not the only one that notices these things and would like to have T10 address them. It pains me to see irrelevant car models (Trucks, and most E and F class), especially in a Motorsport series appear to have received more love than some of the models mentioned above.
-How are Audi RS4/5 Classed higher than an E92 M3?
I only have an answer for your last question so I apologize in advance -
RS4/5 have AWD, it’s one of the few upgrades to add weight and PI, so having it stock would apply that
That makes sense, but it unfortunately makes the overall performance of the RS cars more superior than the M3 when in reality it is the contrary.
The Truth is : Turn 10 doesnt care for the Details.
I am a car nut too, and my heart bleeds by all the errors and mistakes in the seventh part of this franchise.
Sad but true
Right about the E90 M3 model, doesn’t look like a M3 at all, more basic model …
E63 M6 supposedly weight around 100kg lighter than E60 M5, that would lead to a slight PI increase (despite identical powertrains)
Is that true about the M3 performance in a straight line? As you say, an F80 M3/4 is MILES faster than an E46 and E90…they literally destroy the older models , most run close to 470-480hp from factory due to BMW underrating the true BHP figure
Yes, I have done several tests where I was chasing my own ghosts and the M4 could not shake off the E46 at all. Also note the PI of the E63 M6 in comparison to the F10 M5, how is it that the M6 is rated higher than the M5?
