718 GTS vs Cayman GT4

Which car do you guys think it’s better ?
If based on purely paper specs…a 718 GTS is a 2.5 Turbo F4 (chuckles at the engine) while a Cayman GT4 is a whopping 3.8 F6.
Has anyone maxed out both cars yet and got a feel which is a faster car ??

I’m really confuse with Porsche cars, since the beginning…isn’t the 718 being the same car as the Cayman ?? In real life there’s even now a 718 GT4…
Or in a Nutshell, this is like the latest Cayman GT4 ? I don’t recall any Cayman GTS back then…just Cayman S I think ?

Also…is it me or does the 718 GTS sounded weird…look at this video here…this isn’t me, but I had the similar sound issue, at first I thought my speakers broke or something…


I’m guessing it does sound BIT like in real life…honestly don’t really like the sound lol.

Personally, I prefer the 718. Infeel the flat 4 actually suits the car better somehow.

718 is the model name for the 982 Boxster/Cayman (Boxster being the convertible, Cayman the hardtop, they added the 718 nametag to the 982 series to reference the 718 racer from the 60s, which is also in-game), and appears in-game in Cayman GTS-spec. The previous 981 model is also in-game in both Cayman GTS and Cayman GT4-spec.

Is it just me or is the engine sound on the stock 718 completely broken? It’s full of nasty, digital glitching sounds.

I imagine that Porshche weren’t happy with engine sounds of their cars and decided to record themselves this time.

Overall I like the GT4 better. It’s one the best value cars available, and can get to the top of S2 if you really want it to. I also have three s1 builds: RWD road, AWD road, AWD dirt. All three are excellent.

the 718 is nice, but I don’t think it has the same potential.
