“This is actually MY Accord Coupe! Her name is Rem, and yes, she’s a 6-6.”
Hiding in plain sight at the top of Honda’s lineup was an enthusiast version of one of the world’s most popular cars. Here was a two-doored, three-pedaled, six-cylindered ACCORD! It’s J-series V6 made between 267 and 278 horsepower and was offered with a lovely short-ratio 6-speed manual, leading Honda people to call this the Accord 6-6. Although it’s only a single-cam engine, it could belt out a sweet tune all the way up to just shy of 7,000 RPM. It’s chassis is stable and confidence-inspiring, and it looks like you’re driving a premium airport rental, so you’re underestimated anywhere you go. Forza actually had the 7th generation Accord Coupe in the first entry of the series, but it never returned. Personally, I think that’s a real shame, especially because of the big power bump with the 8th generation. The Accord 6-6 is exactly the kind of car I would love to rip off lap-after-lap around the Bernese Alps with.
