19/21 Landmarks

I have driven over all 488 roads, gotten all the bonus boards, done all the PR stunts, got 4k km’s driven already. But where are these last two landmarks? D:

Does anyone have any clue or know where to search?

I’m curious about this as well. Perhaps it has something to do with how many festival sites are unlocked? I’m currently at three, and I know there are at least four in the game.

I think they’re more like bonus boards, always there and waiting for you to find them. You just drive past 19 of them on normal roads or routes, but these last two are probably somewhere far away from the roads.

I have all roads and all 4 festivals open (though not completed) and I too have 19/21 Landmarks discovered. I’ve seen the landmark discovery notification pop but its never very clear what it was or why. Perhaps the remaining two are on the fringes of the map like some of the bonus boards.

I also have 19/21 in the discovery stat. One of them may be the Outback; I saw the text on the map shown in Gamescom gameplay but it doesn’t appear on my map even though I’ve visited the Outback Beauty Spot. One of the other Beauty Spots is Glass House Mountain. On the other hand not all areas discovered are named when looking at the map. From my notes these were names that popped up in “Area discovered” notifications (I only remembered to mark down 15):

Byron Bay
Coober Pedy
Dry Resevoir
Great Ocean Road
Jungle
Maroondah Resevoir
Maroondah Waterfall
Parkes Satellite Array
Redstone Airport
Redstone Gold Mine
Silver Sands Shipwrecks
Surfer’s Paradise
Timber Mill
Twelve Apostles
West Point Tower

The missing landmarks are: (at least for me)

Yarra Valley (between the dam and the Kiewa Valley landmark)
Outback (top left of the map, under the small pink pond right south of the big pink pond)

But I have no clue how to unlock these. I drove around these areas but it didnt work.

Progress: 3 Festivals on 5, 1 Festival on 4, all roads discovered, all boards destroyed, all showcase races done

I can confirm I can’t see these on my map and I can also confirm driving around doesn’t unlock them for me.

This is what I think too. But I’d like some kind of listing somewhere, or something that shows more detailed progress about this.

Probably most, if not, all people have 19/21 then ;o

I’ve counted all the other names on the map and these are exactly 19. It’s as SWYD says. It has got to be the Outback and Yarra Valley not being triggered somehow.

Are there actually 21 white text labels on the map?

My thoughts having only gotten 19 from getting all roads and boards is that the last 2 were some notable item/place/land formation in one of the non road areas that people otherwise have no incentive to drive to, and that eventually some intrepid explorer would find them simply going off the beaten path.

Or they are part of the expansions.

Does anyone have any information regarding this? Or is there anyone with 21 landmarks so far? I have completed everything except for this now QQ.

Yes, I have literally 99.9% of overall completion and It says 19/21 landmarks. You are not alone…

I’m in the same boat, I’ve completed everything else 100% in game and obtain all achievements but I can’t unlock the last two landmarks and am stuck on 99.9% overall completion.

Well its good to know im not the only crazy one wondering where it is. I too am 99.9% done. Didnt even play online until this weekend and im still learning the races. Not fond of the street race checkpoints either, way to crammed together

There are 21 in the game, I got the achievement last night. You are most likely missing the one at Pink Lakes, its not near the road so it won’t pop unless you go near right one. There is a map of all the land marks online, do a search for “horizon 3 beauty spots”.

There isn’t an achievement tied to the 21 landmarks, are you referring to the 13 beauty spots achievement?

Might want to check in the discovery tabs of the stats menu to see if you have all 21
