XBOX ONE CONTROLLER DOESN'T WORK

The game start on a fullscreen window mode…is that ok? I can bring the taskbar up and its annoying…
THE REAL PROBLEM THOUGH is the fact that the game doesn’t run with neither of my official xbox one controllers (on windows 10 with an official adapter).
All other games work fine, although I didn’t try any other games from the windows store.
Any help guys?

Have you installed “XBox Accessories” App already? And have you installed the drivers as found on Xbox Support ?

I’ve updated the controller’s firmware with the xbox accessories app back when it didnt work at all. It didn’t help,
so I tinkered around a bit with the device manager untill my controller showed as “XINPUT compatible HID device”.
That got the controller working in every single game accept FORZA apex and the XBOX accessories app doesn’t recognize the controller either. Please help me I beg of you!!
