I was driving in the WRX STI 2005 and my dad pointed out that it had a very slippery rear end. This was my first race in the car. Is there something wrong?
what tires you have on it?
Yes. Your dad’s a backseat driver. 
I didn’t find it slippery myself.

Try going to the Festival Hub, reset to default upgrades, then buy race tyres, maximum rear tyre width, and a roll cage. That did the trick for me.
I’ve found with FH4 that unless a wheel/pedal setup is used, then a pad or keyboard doesn’t give you a very delicate gradient for the accelerator so it is easy to accidentally accelerate faster than the car is able to handle. As others have said, upgrades to improve the traction on the tires can help to counter this in-game if you don’t want to invest in a wheel.
It has rally tyres fitted so will be slippery on asphalt. As stated above reset to default upgrades and choose how you want to set the car up
I noticed the same thing.
I thought it was something with stability control. it was weird for a a 4 wheel drive car to slide like this
Nice to know it could be resolved with rally tire removal.
It’s the rally preset with 500+ bhp.
