Winter is the best season

It’s the smashing of snowmen and driving on the frozen lake that sets winter above all the other seasons.
If only there was more blizzards like Blizzard Mountain then winter would be the most dynamic season in FH4 by a mile.

Snowpeople, that’s what they are referred to these days

I don’t need blizzards - although when you blueprint a blizzard race it sadly seems like light flurries anyway - but the unfrozen puddles make winter disappointing for me.

Bring on more crazy weather, I say. Complete white-out blizzards would be awesome!

Reason why there’s no Blizzards is because it’s set in Britain. We don’t get blizzards here sadly.

I love the winter season because it’s just so different. Spring, summer & autumn are all similar. Winter is also the nicest graphically.

You’re not missing much, honestly.

Well I moved from Britain to Ireland and I miss the snow. Were only had or once in 7 years.

A friend of mine went to visit his mother in Ireland, and while they were there, there was an extreme weather warning because the temperature had gone down to -10C! My friend walked around town with his jacket open, because to a Canadian, that’s cold, but tolerable. I’d consider it ‘nice skiing weather’. And everyone who saw him freaked out, and yelled at him to do his jacket up before he caught his death. It’s only -10, it’s not like it’s -30 with a wind chill.

But I digress. I don’t mind winter. I can mostly deal with it. I hate having to shovel the driveway, and that’s mostly it. Blizzards are not fun to be out in, and are not at all ideal driving conditions. We mostly spend them indoors, waiting for them to end, hoping the power doesn’t go out, and hoping that we don’t sustain too much property damage when it’s over. And in about a month, I’m moving even further outside the city where it will probably be worse.

I get why it might be appealing to want to try it by proxy from the safety of a video game, where in real life it’s ill-advised at best. We do all kinds of things in-game that are ill-advised, or frankly unsurvivable in real life. But having done it in real life, and potentially having to do it again, it’s not an experience I’m eager to recreate.

This I must agree with. I know people hate winter, but that’s because they don’t know how to have fun.
One circuit I love has a Snowman on all three laps, my goal is always to hit it on every lap,win or lose, the snowman is toast.

Consider yourselves lucky you have more diverse weather than cloudy, cloudy with rain, cloudy with some more rain, and the occasional hot days in summer.

I have never driven on snow in real life, is it slippery compared to warm dry sunny roads?

I would assume being icy it would be incredibly slippery going by the dash cam video shows on TV, in here the drift zones become more grippy in winter so maybe snow has more grip than a dry road?

I have to reduce grip in my tunes for drift zones in winter here, is it accurate like that?

Curious, not complaining

lol @ -10 being tolerable, winter in Australia is considered extreme if it gets to 0. -30 would kill us all !
We just had 48 deg C last week, playing Forza in winter helps chill the brain when its hot

I remember when i was school we was very dissapointing that teacher didint us play icehockey when there was only -22c but winters in here are not like they us to be.

And how slipery snow is, well for example even small uphill in snow can be very difficulty to get up with summer tires. And losing traction is very easy if driving too fast thruw to corners. And 100hp rwd car is as easy to get drift in snow than 1000hp rwd in fh4 in asphalt. Search in youtube somethink like winter drift fails and there’s good example how slipery winter can be.

That`s what I would have expected, extreme slippery winter icy roads.

Drift zones for some reason have more grip in winter than summer, i have to reduce tire width one notch and increase tire pressure and also lower gear ratios to break traction as required in winter. Its just another Forza oddity, lol.

Although in snow I can`t climb a hill to take a short cut with a drift car, so it is slippery sometimes, just not on the actual drift zone once triggered.
