Winter #Forzathon Shop, Festival Playlist events and rewards through November 14

Im sure many peoples didint even know they can use 205 or 037 because if you open festival playlist and watch eligble cars on trial it shows only audi and only rent car you can use is audi. If game would have made smart and show actually all cars you can use we would have more other cars. And AI car selection is been broken since day one without PG doing nothing abaout it.

if you used the map and put the cursor over the event, it showed you which 3 cars were eligible.

Yeah, the GUI for this game is certainly a huge bottleneck. For most players it’s in events like this and Community champ from Autumn, David vs. Goliath event, where at least Drivatars used wide range of cars but players had difficulties to get what they can use, other than what was right in the car selection screen. Here, about perfect event, but like you wrote, no Drivatar cars other than Audi, to give a hint that there are other possibilities.

It’s really weird if you think about it like, really big things in game are different cars, simcade physics and environment and these make all great Horizon experiences possible, but then devs themselves bury the real cool factor leading only about 5% of players (if I take my 10 Trials as sample) to find out what game has to offer. Why the heck shoot yourself to the foot? LOL

I love the fact that the Peel cars are SO low spec you can upgrade them and still be at D100, which means you’ll still face stock opponents in the race.

That Peel Trident is a beast!!! That little monster moves!!! Low top end but 10 acceleration, 10 launch, it doesn’t handle very well though. Not much tuning can be done to it.

And the community routes were absolutely superb this week. I enjoyed both races, sisters was my favorite though

The Trial was pretty easy. Second race, a teammate shoved me out of a checkpoint. After rewinding, my momentum forced me to miss it again. Then, the chucklehead who pushed me out of the checkpoint in the first place goes on to win, and we barely squeak by with 50 points. Ok, so we won, and he scored the win that gave us that edge. But if he hadn’t shoved me out of the checkpoint, we could have easily won by a few hundred more, because we were both well ahead of at least 4 AIs.

One thing that drives me crazy is the rewind when you’ve missed a checkpoint in Trials - it almost always puts you in a position where you can’t recover the first time, and you have to rewind again. Very annoying. Happened to me on race 2 and I went from 4th place to last because of it on that one. We still won, thankfully!

Yeah, that’s right guys. My mistake…

The Trial was fun this week, fun Rally instead of holy mother of JESUS!!! S2 Road.

Indeed, and the three-wheeler championship was even more fun. I want to see a trial like that soon.

Forzathon Weekly

For the speed trap I used my '06 Audi RS4 with my drag tune and went to the festival drag strip where I passed through the speed trap, hit rewind a few times, passed through the speed trap again and repeated until I had done it four times.

For the road races I used my blueprint with share code 139 709 154. The race is over in seconds.

For the showoff skils I used my bluprint with share code 699 097 134. The drivatars are driving on side of the road so drifting while passing them is super easy. The tune I used is my own and it’s called Forzathon Weekly

Can see myself doing the Trial a fair few times just for fun as it’s certainly entertaining. 205 with a handling build and rally tyres was, uh, interesting. All of the grip, absolutely none of the power, felt like I was in reverse at times. On the plus side gives an excuse to chuck on the ridiculous 205 wings to help get the PI down which is always a bonus and absolutely wrecked the field on Goliath, think it was just the top three that finished.

Might just be me but this is one of the very few weeks I’m a bit underwhelmed by what’s on offer as rewards. Granted that’s got something to do with a 700+ car garage but even so there’s not a lot jumping out as being worth having a second version with a different build on.

I think I would be tempted to do it for fun as well if it wasn’t for the mammoth final race, tbh. It was a lot of fun this time round though.

Anyone got any advice for beating the speed zone this time around? It’s the only one I’ve really struggled with, but I can’t seem to get above 140mph no matter what I do…

Lambo sesto, set steering liniarity to 15.

I use Mosler and got that one easily. Good trick for speed zones is to remember that you can use rewind while in zone if you make mistake.

Yep, Mosler with a decent X class tune will make mincemeat of pretty much any speed zone challenge. Start on the far end of the bridge and drive up, think mine came in somewhere around… 180mph? Do tend to find this one a little easier going up as you can get a decent run-up before entering then just make sure not to overcook it.

Yeah, Mosler with winter tires made it fairly easy.

I use the Ferrari 599 XX E for speed zones unless it’s muddy, then I use the Hoonigan.

My first post about this, but I ust say that any seasonal challenge involving other people is just awful.
For half a year of me playing this game trials were usually a carnage with most of people sitting in last places and me being first (I’m far from a good driver mind you).
Was actually glad on rare occasion to be overtaken by faster people, to know those actually exist in this game.
This week I did Trial with my tuned Lancia and got 2 wins and a 3rd (tune needed some work), so with updated tune I went to do it again as people were actually nice … 2 wins and DC.
Ok new day, another try … 2 wins and just a buthurt guy rams me behind the wall when I try to pass him (did already use me as a brake in both previous races) - esc - quit - exit - grab a beer.
Seriously, ram faster people from the race, use them as a brake, … its a damn team race ?!

Playground games I only do if there is a new car locked with them, but those are even worse as I have very bad spatial awareness and I don’t do well, just to find myself at top on time and points with many teams.

Can we get an option to just do solo trials and don’t lock new cars to playground games?

On side note, I did try free mode races and run Goliath last week with my S1 Ferrari 288 GTO, most of people joined with their X and S2 classes, but I usually got past them in first few tight turns with most of them visiting scenery and quit shortly after. So everybody just wants easy win, without any work, tuning is slap everything on and finally if you aren’t in the lead whole time, just quit?
Is most of the population kindergarten kids?

PS
Sorry for the rant.
