The Online Racing Association is excited to announce the upcoming TORA VAG Trophy on Forza Motorsport 4, a 6-round series which will be professionally commentated and aired on Motors TV in Europe!
Partnering with MaximumGroup.net, the organisers of the real-life VAG Trophy (and race winners in the 2014 VAG Trophy), TORA is bringing you the first officially recognised virtual sister championship of a real-world series on Forza.
The VAG Trophy brings the three Volkswagen Audi Group manufacturers in Forza 4 (Audi, SEAT, VW) and their VAG models onto the race track for super close club racing action. Two classes on track in 15 min races mean that not only will you have to watch out for your competitors, but also the other class!
The championship starts on 10th March 2015 and runs weekly on Tuesdays. Qualifying starts at 20:00 GMT, and the race consists of two 15 min (approx) rounds.
The winner of the Drivers Championship in Class A will be invited to test a VAG Trophy racing car at a circuit in the UK. Due to legal reasons, all competitors in Class A must have a valid full Driving License, and should be able to travel to (and within) the UK if they win.
The winner of Class B will win two VIP tickets to the British Truck Racing Championship season finale at Brands Hatch on November 7/8, courtesy of Stopwatch Hospitality, where you’ll be treated to the best seats in the house, socialise with the Downforce Radio commentary team and a taster session on Brands Hatch’s “Race Hub” simulator. Free parking is also included and camping on site is free of charge. You’ll also get the chance to meet some of the drivers in the British Truck Racing Championship, British Pickup Trucks and Legends Racing UK series, as well as a tour of the pitlane on Saturday. Of course, this prize is only available to those who can travel to claim it, so if you win the Drivers Championship and cannot claim the prize it will be given to the next person in the standings who can, and you’ll get some TORA and VAG goodies sent in the post. The class is open to all competitors, with zero restrictions.
Competitors who have entered at least 4 of 6 rounds will be entered into a prize draw to win a TORA VAG Trophy poster.
There will be a North American VAG Trophy coming soon to suit those in US or Aus timezones. Prizes for this series are yet to be confirmed.
The races in the TORA VAG Trophy will be aired on Motors TV later this year, commentated by the professional Downforce UK.
