Will we ever see class-based autocross events return to Forza 7?

I just don’t get why Turn 10 decided not to bring back the class-based autocross events from Forza 5 and Forza 6 into Forza 7! I mean, I remember when I was playing Forza 6, I once built a 1963 VW Beetle to A class for the A-class autocross event on Hockenheimring and I thought I had done a pretty good job on the build - my best time with the Beetle was a 2:13.914!

Now, fast forward to Forza 7, and the class-based autocross events are gone, and it doesn’t help either that the same four events have been there since the game’s release back in 2017, and we haven’t had any new events since then!

I don’t know about you, but at this point, I’m starting to wonder if we will ever see these class-based autocross events return to Forza 7… I mean, what could possibly go wrong with introducing them back to Forza 7?

I really do hope we get some more autocross love. I think it could be used to train drivers. Maybe for Forza 8’s career mode, instead of staying you off racing, you have to complete the Bonduraunt School of Driving Autocross series in your starter car, say a 1980’s hatchback like the Volkswagen Rabbit or Fiesta. It might help teach people early on & could be a cool edition to the career mode before doing your first race.

Aside from that, I’d love class based Autocross to make a return, but the thing I want most is to have a route creator that we could use on any track. Give us a limit of 200 cones & allow us to put them anywhere on any track & allow us to make them as wise or narrow as we want. Then it’d be cool if we could share them to the community akin to the Forza Horizon blueprint system. I could imagine a whole load of cool blueprints, especially at the Test Track Airfield Open Space.

What would also be cool is a different type of autocross event. What if you had to drift through the cones & every time you hit them your drift chain would fail? That could open up some really cool drift events in the future.

Just food for thought of course but there’s so much potential with autocross I feel is not being exploited.

I would love to see “parking lot” autocross. Even if it wouldn’t include “build your own”, multiple layouts on airfield test track would be awesome!!! I think it would go really well in rivals, as well as a good way to start career mode.

I have to agree, some SCCA competitive autocross at random locations would be fun. (would be even cooler if they put in something that would randomize the layouts and leave a good 8-12 that are static).

I do like the idea of getting a drivers school in the game also. I don’t think it should be mandatory but I do think it could be used to “unlock” pro lobbies and more serious sides of the game where you will be racing against others in penalty / championship multiplayer hoppers.
