Why Do the AI have perfect traction offroad?

I have the difficulty set as low as possible (New Racer) yet on offroad races, in a Renault Alpine 110, I don’t stand a chance against AI drivers since they seem to have perfect traction (and are faster than me in a straight line) as they match the racing line perfect.

Is there something I’m doing wrong? I am bouncing all over the place but the AI is perfect. Or is the AI just overpowered offroad?

I run the 110 in the Storm Island Classic Rally events with no problem. What suspension are you using?

Throttle control. You can’t just mash the gas and expect to have control. Believe it or not, your throttle control has some impact on the ai’s behaviour.

Remember, you’re driving a rear engine, RWD car - throttle car will be very important. So will steering control.

Yeah, don’t keep it pinned all the time and don’t accelerate around corners (barring coming out of the corners). Use it like you would in a real car.

Choice of car/build/tune will also make or break you, besides following the racing line if you have it turned on fully is not the way to run your race, in fact you will be slower trying to follow that line(sure there’s topics on this on the site)

Since FM3 (and maybe FM2, I can’t remember), the AI is not subject to Forza’s dirt physics, And since FM5, they’re not subject to damage either.

Try an AWD car.
