Why are the Indy car races so easy to win?

So I won the Honda Indy car in one of the level up spins and went to a leaderboard abd grabbed a tune for it, then off to the career races that require the IndyCars. Normally I play on expert or lower abd usually podium and occasionally win if there isn’t that breakaway whack job. But I realized in doing that AI difficulty with these cars it was not even a challenge for me so I bumped it up to unbeatable and I’m still destroying people.

As an example on the 12 lap Limerock race I was in first place before the end of the first lap which never usually happens on a short course starting in the middle of the pack. By the 4th lap I was lapping the back markers. By the 6th lap I had lapped the entire field. And by the end of the race I had ‘at least’ double lapped everybody. They just have absolutely no chance. Yet in the other classes of cars I cannot perform even close to this well on unbeatable.

AI DRIVATARS ARE BROKEN!!!

AI and Drivatars are not the same thing

Since the game is still fairly new, the drivatars are still learning and developing as more people play the game

Yeah I know they’re different, but they’re still BROKEN! And you know what I meant.

You’re answer is not correct. They are using Drivatars from Forza 5. And I doubled lapped Unbeatable ones. Seriously, that is horrible.

This isn’t actually how it works at all.

For one thing, FM6 is new but the Drivatars aren’t. Mine, for example, is pulling from tons of hours in FH2 and hundreds in FM5. Secondly, Drivatars don’t identically mimic everything about me, but rather are still a basic AI routine that borrows from what it observes me doing. It takes that information and works it into the complicated AI routines. However, it doesn’t determine my Drivatar’s pace. Pace is still governed by difficulty. My wife is absolutely horrible but in FM5 if I set difficulty to Unbeatable her Drivatar was competitive on Unbeatable.

drivatars are ai, they are just influenced by the real players tendencies. if they were not ai, if they were pure simulations you could not adjust the difficulty of them.

turn on the full racing line. you will see it go yellow and red in a number of spots where you can blast thru at full speed due to indy cars very high down force. they have aa very high power to weight ration and a very high down force to weight ratio they they can grip thru corners much better than the racing line predicts. drivatars obey the braking line so they over break and spend time getting back up to speed, they slow excessivly in the corners while you come out of the corners much faster and carry that extra speed all the way down the straight. you are probably 20 mph faster on average as a result. thats why its so easy. if you turn on assisted/auto braking you’ll see exactly what i’m talking about.
