Where is GT lobby?

They removed the most competitive, balanced, and cleanest hopper I’ve ever found on Forza outside of the endurance races. Considering what replaced it, the S class enduro with clear Leaderboard cars available… I don’t understand the move. Whether it’s GT or something else I’d like to see the level of balance and length of race the GT hopper had to offer come back. S class is not it.

PLEASE BRING IT BACK :frowning: It’s such a competitive lobby! i’ve met some really good racers through it. it deserves to be a lobby. and the likes of me (LRT Breeze), LMR Sidewinder, Probably Jay, BraindeadNL, and more who play it quite alot. please dont banish this MASSIVLY POPULAR LOBBY!

add a modern gp hopper, even though the lotus is used almost exclusively in x class, but then get rid of arguably the best and most popular hopper in years for no reason. turn 10 logic sucks, my patience is wearing very thin with these developers. Hell, even Dice/EA are better at making their fans happy and they released a broken game!!

completely stupid to have removed the multiplayer GT; racing mode was really interesting; and I completely agree with what has been said in previous posts from all players and friends. Forza 5 has lost its brilliance and it’s a shame.

im going to miss my 458

I hear you , that’s what guts me too , tunes that I have spent hours getting just right and paints that have all been painstakingly done from scratch , all not to be used again until T10 do the right thing. PLEASE BRING THE GT HOPPER BACK , and give our beloved GT cars a place they can call home :frowning:

This makes two lobbies that were massively popular that Turn 10 has done away with. I’m to the point were I am going back to FM4( for Forza Lemans) and waiting for Project CARS. I hope taking away popular lobbies and replacing them with crap is what you think is going to win people over. Well as for me and I see a few others it’s not. I used to love this series, hell I switched over to Xbox just because ofthis series. But I see that its all come down to “let’s make a game where everyone can do it, and take a huge dump on our loyal fans.” Thank you.

I’m speechless, we start from the fact that force poor and 5 events or multiplayer settings, there is the possibility of making a private room and make it public, instead of adding in more now new events, take away the only place where you could enjoy a bit with people correct and balanced car, doing so has made me never want to play to strength and I am sorry because it was the only reason why I bought the xbox one … to recover the mistake made now dear friends of TURN 10 should reinsert the GT class and add more cars in that category, type mercedes, bmw z4, and more … hopefully that will change something in the trash otherwise buttero force 5 …

I already posted on a similar thread, but maybe every post has a chance to help. We need to have this back, the GT lobby was by far the best in the game. I went back to the R class hopper and it is absolutely terrible in comparison. I do not mind the different cars, but all of the wreckers and general lower skill level is not something I enjoy. The wreckers in particular, it is as bad as ever.

I too replied on a similar thread, i can’t agree more with others here that the GT Series public hopper should be added permenantly and FM5 is definitely in desperate need of a renewed GT racecar list too, one 2013 SRT viper doesn’t quite cut it.

I’m a long time and avid player of FM, i can rationalize some decisions T10 have made, I can appreciate and understand the effort that has gone in to FM5 by the dev teams but i just fail to see why there’s such a lack of GT content? Have the GT racers been forgotten about completely? Rather, have the racers been forgotten about in general? Even the private lobby settings are abysmal now for setting up a private race.

It’s all well and good creating a driving game on a console that even seasoned sim racers can appreciate and yet allow little johnny/little sue to pick up the controller and still be able to play without a steep learning curve. However, I think it’s a very bad move to put too much weight and emphasis on the latter, even if that’s where the short term money is. If I where T10 i would seriously reconsider my stance with the long term future of FM, personally I would like to see a bigger emphasis on motorsport and racing rather than the constant mundane track day driving and meaningless badly put together events/hoppers. Give your players options, don’t take them away.

I can see T10 losing a lot of their fan base if other up and coming racing games can step up to the plate, i know a few long term FM players that have already given up with FM5 and i know for a fact there will be a few leagues that will be taking their racing elsewhere if things don’t improve. Having motorsport in the title of the game may be a bit misleading in the future if T10 don’t improve with the content and features with Forza ‘Motorsport’ 6.

I agree with you 100%. After they took the GT Hopper away, I went back and am now redoing FM4. As you stated, I think Turn 10 has lost focus on who actually plays this game. It’s not the people that got it Day One because it was a release title at that’s it. It’s “us” the guys that have played it since the beginning (I know it says since 2014, but I started playing with Foza 2). I also understand a lot of content and options were left out because of the Day One launch. But with that said, it just seems like all they care about is how many copies they can sell as fast as they can. hat’s why I think they have dumbed things down, made it easier (IMO) to drive the cars. It’s so “everyone” can do it. Maybe after other Racing games get released, they, Turn 10, will relise that it’s more about the hardcaore guys than the fly by night guys. I’ve noticed a lot of people online now are RPG and FPS gamers, not racing fans. They’re just doing it to until other games of that nature come out on the One. And by then, quite possibly, the true Foza fans will have moved on to other racing games, and will not come back.

This has been discussed at great length on these forums i imagine but basically I’m willing to cut some slack with T10 regarding FM5 but only because they still worked hard to bring FM to the next gen and it was a launch title on a new console etc, etc. To cut to the chase i think the visuals and general car dynamics/physics are a leap up from FM4, great work from T10 in that department. Content, menus and features however are all over the place and very basic, mundane or non existant in some cases. The new content and features that have been added are great but very limited unfortunately.

I remember this community back in the FM2 days shouting for pretty standard features (night/day and inclement weather options) that we all wanted to see included in the next installment. We where told by T10 that this is actually more complicated than it seems to replicate and they wanted to get it right in the interest of accuracy before they where willing to include these options/features in FM.I respected that decision, don’t sell a game unless it’s done right and to a high standard. I’ve invested my money and supported T10 in their quest for perfection in the hope that it only improves as we progress through each installment in the FM series. Unfortunately with FM5 i feel a bit let down.

FM is said to be a world where we can create, play and experience our driving fantasies. This is true to an extent but as a racer i’ve always felt the experience we could replicate was limited in regard to the options, content and features. I think it’s safe to say the community are generally happy with the core game but upset/angry or irritated by the lack of content/features old and new. We’ve been waiting patiently for years now in anticipation of what’s going to be new only to be hit with “not very much but we’ve partially improved the game engine for next gen”.

If T10 are to stay on the top podium step when it comes to the best car game on a console then i personally think they really need to work on and overhaul FM regarding features and content, introduce and really start to work on new features and content to be be added on top of what we’ve already got that the core community have been asking for for years now. Shake the cobwebs off, cater to the drifters, sunday drivers, the racers and most importantly the league communities which are the core social platforms in this game where we can meet like-minded people with a common interest. T10 have a great platform to add all this content to and the more new content and features we get in FM the better and more in depth the experience will be that we can create.

Simplifying game features and removing content is a bad move for any game in my opinion, especially if it’s to make a niche genre of gaming more accessible to the common gamer and we all know from public hoppers that the common gamer is the worst type of gamer.

If this isn’t a temporary thing, which it might be, someone at T10 needs to step up and remove the kegerator from the office.

Why remove GT class??? It was the only class where the cars were decent really… Please put on again or i will be forced to play Forza 5 anymore… That’s too bad!!!

I really don’t like the fact they have taken out the series, GT Racing is my favorite type of racing and I’m stuck on what to play online now, plus they don’t even have an Indy series and it’s supposed to be a ‘‘Racing Game’’

A lot of us do miss the GT hopper.vWhen I look at my friendlist I can see that a lot of them are playing less fm5 now the GT hopper is gone.
I don’t understand why there are monthly hoppers anyway. Does anyone really want to do a certain hopper for only a month or so? If you could get a achievement or badge for this hopper (driving 500 miles, win 50 gold medals, etc.) I would get it, but now I really don’t. It makes no sense to me at all; some guys will race in these hoppers because they already know how to drive this class/car, the others have to learn how to drive this class/car.
Both groups will be so dissapointed after 1 month, the first because their favorite car/class hopper is gone, the other because they just learned to be more competitive in this hopper. So the pro’s and the rookies will both be dissapointed. Yeah t10 THAT will really build a fanbase for this series…

Probably never, or at least not for a long time. It was a monthly hopper, meaning it was only ever supposed to last a month but I think it went on for longer than that. T10 change those hoppers up to keep it fresh, so I doubt they will recycle one any time soon.
