So I finally made grandmaster on RTA.
A lot of perseverance overcoming the broken ranking system to get there.
I now have 4858 points. I went to the series rewards screen. I try to claim new rewards. When I press Claim Rewards I get message
‘you do not have any Series rewards to claim at this time. Come back when the current Series has ended to claim your earned rewards’
On the right tab under ‘REWARDS EARNED’ it shows 68.
And under ‘SERIES ENDS IN’ it shows 0H 0M 0S
So I am confused. The quick chat “I’m a grandmaster” is still locked and there is no Bugatti T35 C in my garage.
I’m confused. I assume I need to wait until the end of spring for a new year to start? But then why does it say series has ended already? I thought I was able to claim my previous ranked rewards as soon as I hit the required levels by going to the rewards and pressing claim.
If you mean the rewards you’ve earned since January 14, you wouldn’t be able to collect them until the current series ends on February 11. But unless the 0 0 0 timer is a quirk related to earning Grandmaster, you should see “Series ends in 8D 5H…”. Try rebooting and looking to see if there’s a game update available to install. Otherwise go to Forza Support and submit a ticket for the team to investigate.
I guess I will wait until the series finishes to find out if its bugged. In my experience, creating a ticket never helps anything. Automated replies, automatic case closure without problems being resolved. Always very frustrating. Last time they told me to delete all my progress or they will not help me
There seems to be a requirement that, to be a Grandmaster, you need to also be in the top 100 players for that adventure type. If you aren’t in the top 100, I don’t think it shows you as a GM on the leaderboards. As so many players cheat their way to GM on RTA, there are a very high number of players ranked above 4900 points, so I suspect that you aren’t showing as a GM on the leaderboards. What I’m not sure of is whether that impacts on whether or not you obtain GM rewards or not.
Yeah I’m around number 270 in the leader boards, so not in top 100, and it shows me as rank 1 in the leaderboards. My win/loss ratio looks stupid, something like 70 wins/270 losses, but that’s because I quit every time another player quits first, which is the majority of races, and then it records it as a loss. I actually come 1st position in most races.
I sure hope I get the prizes. Must have sunk at least 100 hours into obtaining the rank. But I have no faith in the broken system
Yeah, the system has many flaws! Does it show you as having reached GM on the rewards screen? If so, you should be ok to get the rewards at the end of the month. Although, the first month I was at GM (and it showed as such), it didn’t work for me. Second month it did - no idea why and nothing had changed!
