I love to play with a wheel (Logitech G920) but I have as much control over my car as when I am using a controller (Xbox One-Controller).
What can I do? Why is this?
I have tried and tried to adjust my deadzones and settings (some are not worling for the wheel).
I always seem to loose control over my car when the controller can handle the situation easily.
Am I doing something wrong?
My settings are:
Steering linearity: 55
Steering sensitivity: 70
Most rumble feedback is set to a quarter of its setting.
Basically, when using the controller, there is a built in assist that cannot be toggled on/off, that protects the driver from oversteer for example.
This does not exist when using a steering wheel, as the force feedback is supposed to handle that sort of assist instead… but since the force feedback is ‘meh’ in the game…
You are sort of punished for using a steering wheel.
i hear ya, i am soo much better with the controller, so i went out and bought a G920 thinking it would make the experience better. sad to say it didn’t. tried a few settings from others on this forum but nothing is coming close to the accuracy i am getting with a controller. i have to say that i am still practicing on it though
also read something about Thrustmaster performing a lot better than Logitech in the game, hope the community helps us out on this as i am ready to trade in my Logitech for the Thrustmaster if that is the case
Different wheels definitely perform differently. My fanatec clubsport V2 blows my old thrustmaster TX away in feeling and in ability to maintain control. It made the game not only playable but fun.
did you look at this thread?the outside deadzones make a huge difference.for me 20 fest way to much so im currently on 30 instead of the default of 100.
look at the post by the user transfix.
