I’ve read about a fair bit of issues with the Thrustmaster TX, but it seems like the best wheel that’s currently available. I want one with proper force feedback on it. Is the TX the way to go or would I be better off waiting for the Logitec 920? Any other wheel owners care to throw in their opinions?
I have the Fanatec V2 with the adapter for Xbox One and the GT rim. WOW do I love it. Also the Clubsport V3 with the brake piston kit is recommended by me. It is very pricey but REALLY nice. All said without rig it’s about 1200 U.S. dollars so if it’s in your budget I think it’s the best. The Thrustmaster U.S. What I had up until a month ago and I liked that wheel a lot. It just can’t compete but for about 1/4 to 1/3 the price is a very nice option. It’s like buying a decent normal brand sporty car or a Porsche, you get what you pay for. The Fanatec has a lot of adjustments you can adjust on the fly while racing that make it a very versatile wheel. The Thrustmaster wheel you can also adjust some but not nearly as much.
Being this close to the Logitech releasing, I’d probably wait to see what others say about it, but honestly, you can’t go wrong with the TX. Amazon is running a package where you can get the TX base, the leather wrapped GT wheel and the T3PA pedals for $470. It’s a savings of $40 if you bought everything separately.
As Dan said, there’s also the Fanatec option, but it’s very expensive compared to the other wheels on the market.
