So I upgraded to VIP and Forza gifted me 4 cars. 3 of which I already bought. There are about 4 others that I mistakenly bought twice. What do you do with them? I take it there is no way to sell them back and get credits for them, right?
Not for FM5 there is no way to sell them back to the game for credits but you can remove them from your garage if you wish. Duplicate cars have always had uses of holding different tunes and designs when your racing for example you could have one setup for a certain class with a design on it and the other set for a different class and with a different paint. You could keep one stock and just upgrade the other one too so you do have options when having a duplicate car.
Money is so easy to make in this game. Just get an F1 car and go to free play, then go to the Indy oval track, turn all assist off and set the Drivatar to unbeatable then set the laps to 20 or 50 you will gain tons of levels, affinity and credits.
I put other livery’s on them and tunes so you don’t have to keep switching between classes. For example one of the duplicates ill but a B tune the other A, R and what ever else I can get for that car to try and get my rival times up.
I guess I’ll set them up for different classes. Well, can’t do that with the Lotus, but the others I can.
As to money in the game, I make tons of it by running rivals. I run laps until I beat my rival and sometimes it takes lots of laps. I pretty much go up at least one level and usually more every time I do that. Before I was getting 35,000 CR for advancing a level and now its 70,000. I have about 70 cars now, but at the rate I’m earning credits, it won’t be long until I have all the cars. I have something like 28 million in CR at the moment, so I will just go shopping one day.
Well, if you have no use for the duplicates, permanently remove them from your garage - although, the above replies provide plenty of reasons to keep them. In the past, most gift vehicles - with only a few exceptions - were only worth 100 credits at resell … so, let’s not pretend gift vehicles have any less worth now than they had in the past.
