What happened to Forza?

You could always trade in your copy of FM5 for Project C.A.R.S when it arrives, but a**holes will always be present online.

Edit: I’ll be playing FM 5 until Cars arrives but that wont be perfect either…

The secret to mp is defending yourself and easily predicting what the others will do even before they think to do it. People online are very predictable and perform the same actions over and over again in a mad grasp to win. I don’t even try to win, don’t need to. They usually crash and burn by lap 2.

The complaints about how “awful” this game is are largely unjustified. Sure, we’ve lost some things that I wish we hadn’t lost and shouldn’t really have lost, and it’s a shame that we have no real restriction options in free play (can’t have an F1 race because the game always populates X races with Indy cars that don’t stand a chance.) However, we’re talking about setting a bar no current-gen game has reached and won’t reach for some time yet. Last-gen is irrelevant because that’s last-gen, sort of like how The Elder Scrolls II had a 13,000-square-mile map but you can’t expect modern TES games to be remotely that big because of how much time it takes to build modern game content. I’ve seen people complain that the 200 cars FM5 launched with wasn’t good enough and they were going to play such-and-such other game which had like a quarter of FM5’s car count. That just makes no sense. “200 isn’t enough so I’m gonna go settle for 50.” Really?

Its probably because the physics are more tuned for the hardcore sim players, only 50 cars yes but it has been tailored to a specific audience whereas Forza now is more for the casual gamer; but again that can be debated.

I’ve been buying and playing car games since the very first Need For Speed, and have been a huge fan and player/owner of every single Gran Turismo, Sega GT and Forza games. The Gran Turismo series was my favorite until Forza 4 came out, which in my opinion, left the Gran Turismo feeling very artificial. To me the Forza series feels more natural, more organic, more fun for such a huge car nut like me.

Now to me FM5 was only a disapointment due to the lack of cars and tracks and races/events that keep me interested and wanting to come back, especially compared to GT5 and GT6. But everything else was top notch. If only FM5 had at least 6 extra car DLC packs and double the monthly Rivals events, I would’ve played it a lot more since November 2014…

But as far as FM6 goes, as long as Turn 10 gives us more cars and tracks than FM4 had, I’ll be very happy, even if no other new features are added compared to FM5. And since it’s Forza’s 10 years birthday, what a better time to bring all previous cars and tracks from all other Forza Motorsport and Horizon games to FM6!!! Add on top of that the weather system from FH2 and we have by far the best Forza game ever!!!

I’ve given up on talking about my feelings on 5. What is there that hasn’t been said at this point? We know 5 was essentially a prelude and an overhaul to the series that went largely unfinished (as it relates to menu completion, features, fixes, etc.) due to to time constraints. We know this. Yes, much of what they did or failed to do is in bad taste. But what’s done is done. At this point, especially for us who pre-ordered the Xbox One and game, spending $600 in total to be disappointed, the only thing left to do is forget it and look forward to Forza 6. It may seem counter-logical to support Turn 10 or look forward to a new release after what some may deem a ‘bait and switch’ and failure to adequately support the product after the fact (absolute vast majority of bug reports went unfixed), but, we are Forza Motorsport fans. The game has the potential to be simply amazing if the current graphics can be married to Forza 4’s thoroughness of programming and features. If Forza 6 has that (I can’t imagine it won’t…), how could I not look forward to it?

Long story short, enjoy Forza 5 as much as you’re able to and try to look past what’s wrong with it. Turn 10 moved on 6 months after its release to focus on Forza 6. It’s time for our focus to shift also. Just my $0.02

My only real issue with FM5 was the removal of public user created lobbies. I thought that killed a lot of the fun of online. I was hoping that it was due to the schedule and making it for a new console and that things would be better by FM6, but since FH2 released with even fewer options for multiplayer and even less player freedom it just looks like this might be Forza’s new approach to multiplayer and that they’ve decided that giving that freedom to players isn’t Forza’s thing. I’m guessing they want to be know more for plug and play like simplicity in multiplayer than for being a gear head’s heaven to set up dream races of their own design. Myself, I’m not a big fan of Forza’s new multiplayer direction.

i find this game confused the rwd act like fwd fwd acts like rwd and it differs from corner to corner on the same lap alot like the original gran turismo it makes it really hard to drift a corvette that pulls itsself out as soon as u hit the gas or it just ignores the controler completly and goes straight like a fwd with too much power maybe thats the tcs issue every1 talks about idk … they need to rid themselfs of the drivertards they cant drive they just stop 4 deep on the straights so you plow through and right your car off and hit you in the corners i use to play on the hardest settings now i play on easy because the drivertards cant get cloes enough to end my race if i can make it through them which is boring/fustrating

they soulda put a new coat of polish on 4 called it 5 now 6 has been announced and horizion 2 is out none of this will get fixed so if u see it in the discount bin steer clear and wait to hear the user reviews on forza 6
