I have unlocked all the volumes and continued to check off series prior to the patch update with not too much fuss. Then yesterday I decided to go and do some more career racing post patch update. I was suddenly surprised when I couldn’t even place in top ten in my first event. I started the race again and still same results. It wasn’t until my 4th or 5th attempt that I was able to finish 3rd (barely). The same thing was happening on my second race event but after my 3rd attempt I quit. I never changed any difficulty settings, always race the same.
I decided to set up the same race in free play to compare. Finished 2nd with no issues. Again, same difficulty settings.
Did something change in career mode after the patch? I feel something is not right. Is anyone else having the same kind of issues here or am I going crazy…haha?
I had that issue yesterday. After 5 attempts I lowered the difficulty to highly skilled and placed second. I’m sure they’ll fix it with the next patch.
This forum needs to work. Everytime I come here I lose my post, or get locked up, or something or another happens. And there is a forever spinning wheel in the top right corner.
Annnyway. I thought that the 1st and 2nd place drivatars were not as fast, but the field was faster.
They were going full speed on some turns, and zooming past me while I was getting ‘good’ and ‘perfect turns’
They just need to relax the whole career mode, what are they trying to prove here?
I have only had this issue on unbeatable. 2 cars will still pull away and be really hard to catch. Most tracks I can catch them and still place first. When I hit the new tracks I have to drop the difficulty down a level. T10 has said that they think its a server issue and are still looking into correcting it.
I’ve found the drivatar issue to be improved since the patch. It’s not perfect, if I don’t get into first by the middle of the second lap (in a 3 lap race) they normally race off into the sunset especially on tracks I hate. But once I’m in the lead they seem to back off…
once you are in the lead you can take the fastest line. if you were fast enough to catch and pass them wile they were depriving you of the fastest line you are even faster in the lead. its not that they back off, its that not having to go off line you are even faster
I wish I had your problems. For me, Pro Drivatars are super slow now. After every race I check the difficulty settings because everything is so easy: “Yep, still on Pro”
That’s normally me, but last night, it wasn’t happening. I restarted 5 times because I kept finishing in 9th and 10th. I finally lowered it to highly skilled and finished second.
I really don’t understand what is going on with the drivatars in the race series. It doesn’t seem to matter if I race with the drivatars set to rookie or to expert. I will finish 2nd or 3rd. The car in first always runs away from the pack and sometimes the car in second does the same thing. Once I pass the guy in third I start catching the cars in front of me but the car in fourth keeps right behind me. If the car in first pulls away from the guy in second, I can normally get near the car in second and sometimes pass him.
Something seems wrong with the career mode. I would prefer a career mode similar to FM4 and FM3.
i’ve noticed in my career (almost to last volume) race 1-3 is normal then it’s like they go in berserk mode. In daytona i play a level above average normally, well it’s 10 laps and i started in back of the pack. Come about lap 8 i jumped behind first place and tailed him for almost a lap. I try to nfs pit the car in first when they get like this because it’s the only way you’ll win in first ( i know boo boo hissssss) right before i get right behind him after a lap of crawling my way to him he just magically and i mean magically just bolts ahead and off he goes!
Now unless he tuned his car in lap 10 that’s not even possible.! You are not going to bolt ahead so fast after going neck and neck going in a circle!
I love this game very much. i do. But this drives me nuts! it’s like playing cheat code enabled drivatars.
