What constitutes a "perfect drift" to forza 5 and/or 6?

Hey everyone. So to add some backstory, I am a drifter of 2 and a half years and a racer for 3 and I drive a corolla 86. Now I started on forza 5 a year or so back and got the thrustmaster spider wheel kit, cheap but serves the purpose at the moment. Anyway, I have always mained the 86 and tuned it best I could to fit my real machine and did my best to match the mods.
So knowing how to drift, I translated it to the controls available and drift successfully, and can clear the alps in 1:56. Now a few months into forza 6, I haven’t turned off the “good pass, good drift, etc.” notifs and I saw that, at every corner I attack, it only ever says “Good Drift.” Now I know my technique isn’t flawed, so what is it? Is it expecting me to be completely sideways in the corner instead of slinging around? I would hate to think in order to do a perfect drift, I need to do so in a way that makes the attack MUCH SLOWER. Any help to figure this out would be great!

Not too sure about Forza 5 considering that I rarely drifted on it, but for FM6 it looks like the “Perfect Drift” notes pop up based on the amount of points you earn (length you keep drifting and linking corners together) rather than the particular quality of the drift.
Check how you link your corners and see if you’re either pulling too much angle (the game stops counting points if you try to reverse entry or do above 80 degrees or so) or if you end up being too shallow when you exit the turn, as simple wheelspin and little angle won’t typically get points either.
Additionally, there is a way to keep the drift HUD on always in the HUD Option settings in the main menu.

TL;DR Watch your drifting in replay pls. It do give good perspective.

Its all points based its very pointless you can be the worst drifter ever and still get a perfect drift if you hold your points out to somewhere around 8,000 don’t remember the exact number.
