So I’ve been running the Viper and it’s become fairly clear that either the car just plain sucks or I suck. I’ve not noticed a single other person use the car aside from me though however, I’ve seen an enormous amount of M3’s in the rooms which brings me to my question.
Which car is best and why? and if you have a personal favourite mention that too.
What I find great in the GT lobby is that all the cars are competitive, you can win with any. I like the Viper, maybe you just need the right tune for the car
You’re not mistaken. I recognize the regular clean drivers in the lobby. The Viper is pretty much the only car I drive and when it sucks it’s usually because of messing with new tune settings.
my favourite ones are the Viper and the Aston…from time to time I use the M3, while I go for the Corvette only for Le Mans. I never use the Ferrari simply because I used it for a racing series and I drove it so much that now I don’t want to see it anymore, but it is as good as the others. It is more than a week that I don’t race in the GT lobby, it’s time to make up for the lost time!
You guys were right, it must have been me that was useless! I gave the viper a bit of a tune and on my last race of the night dominated at Laguna by nearly 30 seconds, I guess I was being a bit too optimistic thinking that a 5 minute tune would be enough!
The car doesn’t seem to have the pace down the straights at all though and it seems like you really have to muscle it through the corners to be competitive, that being said i’m going to keep going with it as it’s my favourite of those available.
I still only saw one other viper in 2 hours of racing who seemed to be struggling as much as i was but a continued abundance of M3’s which curiously changed all to Corvette’s on La Sarthe, what’s up with that?
Oh and if anyone wants to race some of this class add me as sometimes the lobbies are a bit thinned out.
To find out why they switched to the Corvette at La Sarthe just check the stats of the GT cars. One has a speed stat that stands out like a sore thumb.
Everything you’ve listed here about the Viper is a problem with the tune and not the car. You saw one other Viper in just 2 hours of racing? There are many reasons why that might of been the case but none of them are good enough to judge the car on. Find a car that works for you. Put a decent tune on it and you’re good to go. A tune and/or lack of skill with that tune can make any of those cars seem bad.
Viper and corvette are mine and my friends cars of choice in GT lobbies. the aston we only really use in the other lobbies to annoy peopke with it winning against their speed cars.
