Welcome to the Paint Booth - Please Read before creating a new thread!

Welcome back painters to another year of Forza painting! I want to take some time out to say thank you for stopping by and for your interest in contributing to our amazing community of painters. I’ve been a painter around here for 6 years now and every year brings a new crop of painters that make me excited to see what’s next. For those new to the livery editor and here to share their work for the first time, welcome! Please use this forum to show off your work as well as to share and pick up knowledge. To the Forza Veterans, glad to see you back. You guys are the cornerstone of the painting community and the guidance and inspiration you provide is a huge thing to those hopping in the livery editor for the first time.

If you are new to the forums, please create a single gallery thread that will house all of your work. This will act as your portfolio/gallery and makes it easy for visitors to see what you have up for share. You can update this over time, you can even change the title of your original post (OP) when you have new work to show. Feel free to bump your thread every few days to get more visibility but please do not over do the bumps though. If you plan on updating a lot of work feel free to reply with “Reserved slot” so that you have a slot or two that you can edit later to add more work.

This year we have a pretty big change to how the paint booth is structured but one we hope will be a big benefit to our painters. Gone is the forum separation between Fantasy and Race style. This will allow painters of all types to share and learn with each other, reduce the workload for painters who currently do both styles and potentially increases the views that all painters receive. The overall look and creation of the gallery will be similar to what forum veterans are used to, the change will be to add your a category ( [Fantasy], [Race] or both) to the beginning of your thread title.

Example posting format:
[Fantasy]Ayo Jube’s Fantasy garage (paint 1, paint 2, paint 3 just updated)
[Fantasy][Race] Mechberg’s Race and Country flag paints!
[Race] LVT10’s super cool race cars

Using Cruze as an example, his threads would go from this:
[SGC_] CRUSE2382 paints (paint list)
to
[Race][SGC_] CRUSE2382 paints (paint list)

Threads that differ from galleries are more than welcome! Single livery image posts should be kept in the galleries whenever possible to help us keep the forum organized. If you have any suggestions or feedback please let us know.

Sounds good to me, putting the two together makes the place a lot more busy

I’m not a fan of mixing fantasy with race. Bit like mixing your drinks. I’d be happier with them separate, but I guess it makes it appear busier.

I need help how do I share my paint schemes? Every time I try to it shows it is locked and private.

I have a question about painting etc… I am pretty new to this and I have struggled in the painting to create things like manufacturer logos etc that I have used on one of my designs. I would love to do more and contribute to the community. I would like to be able to create my ideas in a true graphics editor like Adobe or Paintshop then import them to forza 6. Is there a way to do this?

Nope, what you see is the result of thousands of small shapes with various levels of color and transparency. Here’s a video of how it’s done:
