W.I.P. Caprica Six Battlestar Galactica

Stage 1 Stick down some shapes overlayed with Glass 2K on a PC using the XBox App.

Stage 2 Blend the shapes into the image using transparency, Gradients, and Masks. A background colour helps you to see any holes in the image.

Part 3… Get more underlayers down…

W.I.P. Part 4. Using gradients to add shine to the hair…

W.I.P. Part 5. More work on the hair. By using variations in the colours you can add more 3D life to it.

W.I.P. Part 6 Finished most of hair. Building Face Layers.

W.I.P. Part 7: Smoothing the face.

W.I.P. Part 8 Work on the mouth.

W.I.P. Part 9. Working underneath the eyes to add shade before drawing the eyes. Working from the bottom layers up.

W.I.P. Part 10. Time for the top layers of the face.

W.I.P. Part 11.

W.I.P. Part 12. You can zoom in, and add the really fine details at the end.

Finished apart from she will have a red dress as well. Two versions!

Here it is on a Ford Shelby in my HUB now.

Kudos on the BSG

Awesome work. Wish I knew what the masking does. Is it like blocking out like true painting where you mask off areas not to paint?

It does that, and it does more. You can have a mask with a gradient that only partly hides the paint. You can paint a car Gold, and then add layers to hide the gold like black for example. Then you can cut through the black to show gold shapes.

If you experiment with it it comes in handy.
