Voting list - missing cars from FH3/FH4 to return in FH5 [Update_2023/8/21: -16 cars, +1403 votes]

Today’s update is smaller than I anticipated, yet interesting nonetheless.

  • Kia Stinger achieved the 300 votes milestone, but Ford SVT Cobra '95 is not that far behind (267).
  • Mercedes SL 65 AMG is now going head-to-head with Shelby 1000, at 137 votes.
  • Plymouth Atomic Punk Bubbletop gained 50% more votes in one day (6 → 9).
  • Mini JCW Convertible is no longer alone at the very end of the list, now it have the same amount of votes as Lambo Urus Concept and MG MGA (4). Austin Seven would be there too but in the last two days it jumped from 4 to 6 votes.
Changelog

Kia Stinger +2, Ford SVT Cobra +3, Mazda 3 +1, Shelby 1000 +1, Mercedes SL 65 +2, McLaren 12C +1, Audi Sport quattro S1 +1, Pagani Huayra +1, VW ID R +1, Chrysler 300 +2, Bowler EXR S +1, Volvo S60 +1, Opel GT +1, Dodge Dart +1, Lambo Jarama +1, Ram Runner +1, Jaguar XJ-S +1, BMW Z4 +1, Hoonigan Bronco +2, Range Rover +1, Toyota Corolla +1, Lotus Eleven +1, Rossion Q1 +1, Cadillac Escalade +1, Jaguar C-Type +1, Holden 50-2106 FX Ute +1, Hoonigan G8 Fiesta +2, Plymouth Atomic +3, Austin Seven +1, Mini JCW Convertible +1

I agree, I’m currently preparing (slowly) the second list for another thread

Just speculation but I get the impression microflop has said to t10/PgG drop a few licences to save money and replace with any company who wants free advertising and the licence agreements we renew get more cars from them that way the gamers won’t notice or be bothered as there will be more cars than before.
Then instead of giving the gamers all the cars we have, we’ll withhold a load of them and release them weekly as NEW cars to keep player engagement up, a lot of players won’t know the difference as they’ll be new to franchise anyway (as that’s who they’re targeting anyway, cos veterans will keep coming back anyway)
Just keep adding mostly super cars as the NEW with no visual upgrades so they’re happy for the next bit

Then make sure you’ve held back a group of cars say Japanese cars from previous titles and we will include some never seen in Horizon (but from motorsport series) and give them in a massive update (possibly an expansion)

Monday turned out to be more productive for Suggestions Hub than Sunday, that’s odd

This time top three contenders haven’t changed their vote count, so other cars had a chance to catch up - and 81 models used it, though only three of them gained more than one point since yesterday.

If all goes well, tomorrow I’ll present you the second list - with missing cars from Forza Motorsport 7, 6, 5, and 4 (but only very few models from the last one)

As promised, yesterday I’ve launched the second thread, with list of cars from Forza Motorsport 5-7 (and a chosen few from FM4) that could return in FH5.

Now I’m thinking about the third list, with cars from FM4, FH1, and other older games (Forza left behind dozens of wonderful vehicles and I’m certain their return could give us much more joy than many #NewToForza models). Would you be interested to see such list?

As for today’s update of this particular thread, it’s much smaller than I expected after two days. Not much to write about, apart from Toyota MR2 gaining 4 votes and going almost head-to-head with BMW 850 CSi.

I anticipate more exciting update for the other list tomorrow

Changelog

Kia Stinger +1, Toyota MR2 +4, Shelby 1000 +1, BMW Z8 +1, McLaren 12C +1, Audi Sport quattro S1 +1, Pagani Huarya +1, Cadillac CTS-V +1, BMW 507 +1, DS3 Racing +1, Ford F-100 Trophy Truck +1, Vauxhall Astra +1, Ferrari 512 +1, Porsche 906 +1, Porsche 356 Gmund +1, Saleen S5S +1, Chevrolet Nova +1, Sunbeam Tiger +1

The last two days seemed more productive than previous two for Suggestions Hub, now we have 40 more votes on the list (previously only 21)

Toyota MR2 '95 now stands on the same level as BMW 850 CSi (190 votes), Lykan HyperSport is only 1 point below the 100 votes milestone, while Quadra gained 2 votes all of a sudden and nearly overtook Vauxhall VX220. You’ll find more in the changelog below (or on the list itself)

The third list is still coming, currently I’m digging through Hondas… I forgot how many of these FM4 and FH1 had, they basically ashamed Gran Turismo

It seems a lot of “fresh blood” visited the Suggestions Hub in the last three days, considering this surprisingly massive update, with 190 (!) additional votes. It caused some shake-up on the list - examples from the top:

  • Toyota MR2 overtook BMW 850 CSi (by 2 votes)
  • Mercedes SL 65 and Shelby 1000 are going head-to-head once again (at 141 votes).
  • Subaru BRAT gained 4 votes and caught up with Audi Sport quattro S1.
  • W Motors Lykan reached 100 votes milestone.

You can track all changes on the list (first post) or with the changelog below

Would love the 50s holden saloon, but missed it by a few days when it was delisted

I literally bought FH4 for one car. The Aston Martin DBS (Bond pack) and would love to see it and the V8 Vantage again. Who doesn’t love a classic Aston Martin?
I actually want one I’ve never seen in any game - The DB4 (not Zagato). I think it’s prettier than the DB5 but the DB5 gets all the glory.

Today we bid farewell to two cars from the list. 1995 Toyota MR2 GT and 1992 Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 are being brought back to FH5 with Series 17 so I’ve removed them (my counter stopped at 214 and 62 votes respectively). Toyota was among top 5 missing cars so I think we can praise PGG for listening to us this time

And what changed among remaining models during the last six days? A lot - here are highlights:

  • Lotus Esprit V8 is the new no. 5, with 1 vote more than Subaru SVX.
  • Shelby 1000 is now ahead of Mercedes SL 65 (by 1 vote) and both cars have more than 150 points.
  • Pagani Huayra is still pushing forward with immense power, it gained 12 points previously and another 10 votes today, overtaking McLaren 12C.
  • Audi Sport quattro S1 and Volkswagen I.D. R saw surprisingly large growth as well, gaining 11 and 13 votes respectively since the last time (the latter is now way ahead of W Motors Lykan).

It’s already fifteen days since the last update? When did that happen?

To be honest, I’ve expected more changes in such a long time. It seems the popularity of Suggestions Hub is back to normal after that rapid spike in January. Anyway, let’s look at some major changes:

  • Kia Stinger significantly increased its advantage over 1995 Ford SVT Cobra R (from 37 to 49 votes).
  • Shelby 1000 gained 15 votes (just 1 less than Kia) and is now the no. 5 on the list (it overtook Lotus Esprit V8 and Subaru SVX).
  • Ford Mustang II King Cobra achieved the 100 votes mark.
  • Hudson Hornet jumped from 75 to 85 votes.
  • Mercury Coupe gained 10 votes in total across last three weeks (it has now 33 pts).

Please note that some cars have new links after recent merging of voting threads:

  • 1967 Ford Falcon XR GT (13 → 14 votes)
  • 1992 Ford Falcon GT (25 → 37 votes)
  • 2015 Ford Falcon XR8 (22 → 20 votes)
  • 1988 Holden VL Commodore (21 → 32 votes)

Series 18 in FH5 launched today so it’s a great opportunity to update the list and reflect content changes in the game.

And by “content changes” I mean, obviously, three cars returning from FH4 and (finally!) FH3 which were removed from the list:

  • 1986 Audi Sport quattro S1 - 133 votes
  • 1980 Subaru BRAT GL - 127 votes
  • 2015 Honda Ridgeline Baja Trophy Truck - as it turns out, this car got its own topic just now

Apart from that, two more cars received new links:

  • 2013 Bentley Continental GT: 14 → 18 votes
  • 1962 Triumph Spitfire: 32 → 7 votes

  • Vauxhall VX200 has been overtaken by Aston Martin DBS '08, Mazda RX-7 '85, and Chrysler 300 '12 (all four have 103-105 votes).

Series 20 is coming soon (I expect the next Forza Monthly this week), so let’s update the list.

This time no cars were removed, as Series 19 brought, surprisingly, only #NewToForza cars.

Notable changes:

  • Fight for 5th place on the list continues, this time Shelby 1000 is ahead of Subaru SVX.
  • McLaren 12C took a large leap forward (+15 votes) and overtook the BMW Z8.
  • Hyundai Genesis did the same (+17 votes) and is now right behind McLaren 12C.
  • Four new cars have reached or exceeded the 100 votes mark: Lotus Evora, Hudson Hornet, Mercedes 300 SEL, and GMC Syclone.
  • After thorough consideration I’ve come to a conclusion that 2017 RAM 1500 Rebel TRX Concept doesn’t have a matching thread in the Suggestions Hub, so I’ve moved it to the bottom of the list.

10 most upvoted cars since the last update (only cars with 40+ votes):

  • +36.00% - Citroen DS 23 (50 → 68 votes)
  • +20.41% - Dodge Dart GT (49 → 59 votes)
  • +20.27% - Renault Clio V6 (74 → 89 votes)
  • +18.00% - Opel GT (50 → 59 votes)
  • +16.35% - Chrysler 300 (104 → 121 votes)
  • +16.19% - Mazda RX-7 '85 (105 → 122 votes)
  • +15.00% - Ford F-100 Trophy Truck (40 → 46 votes)
  • +13.18% - Hyundai Genesis (129 → 146 votes)
  • +11.32% - Plymouth Prowler (53 → 59 votes)
  • +10.79% - McLaren 12C (139 → 154 votes)

Series 21 is upon us so let’s check how things stand in the Suggestions Hub.

Astonishingly, it’s another month when update brought only #NewToForza cars (and great ones by the way) and I had nothing to remove from the list. Well done, PGG!

Notable changes:

  • Kia Stinger’s advantage over competitors is greater with every week, it’s close to 100 votes between it and the second place (Ford SVT Cobra R '95) already.
  • Mercedes SL 65 saw large gain of votes and now Subaru SVX can feel its breath on neck.
  • Hyundai Genesis overtook McLaren 12C (but only by one vote).
  • Also Pagani Huayra is seemingly going to do the same (currently has vote count equal to McLaren).
  • Renault Clio V6 continues to push forward, it jumped from 89 to 126 votes and moved from 28th to 17th place on the list.
  • RAM 1500 Rebel TRX Concept now has its own topic for voting.

10 most upvoted cars since the last update (only cars with 40+ votes):

  • +41.57% (+37 votes) - Renault Clio V6
  • +36.84% (+14 votes) - GMC Typhoon
  • +30.77% (+12 votes) - Bentley EXP 10
  • +29.09% (+16 votes) - Bowler EXR S
  • +20.00% (+15 votes) - Lexus IS F
  • +19.67% (+12 votes) - Ferrari F12
  • +19.61% (+20 votes) - Hudson Hornet
  • +18.18% (+26 votes) - Pagani Huayra
  • +17.58% (+29 votes) - Mercedes SL 65
  • +16.44% (+24 votes) - Hyundai Genesis

With three returning FH4 cars in Series 22, I have finally a good reason to update this list

Removed cars are:

  • 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series — 219 votes, 6th place on the list
  • 1991 GMC Syclone — 134 votes, 20th place
  • 1992 GMC Typhoon — 69 votes, 50th place

Other notable changes:

  • Pagani Huayra jumped from 11th to 6th place by gaining 47 votes (169 → 216).
  • Subaru SVX was overtaken by Lotus Esprit '02.
  • Volkswagen I.D R is now on 10th spot (previously 13th, +39 votes).
10 cars with the biggest gains of votes since the last update (new method):
  • +59 (+14.0%) - Kia Stinger
  • +47 (+27.8%) - Pagani Huayra
  • +43 (+31.9%) - Lexus IS350 F
  • +39 (+26.5%) - Volkswagen ID R
  • +36 (+65.5%) - Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato
  • +34 (+27.0%) - Renault Clio V6
  • +34 (+12.5%) - Mazda 3 '10
  • +32 (+26.0%) - Aston Martin DBS '08
  • +24 (+17.9%) - Chrysler 300 SRT8
  • +22 (+110%) - Volvo Iron Knight

And I’ve marked 10 cars coming to the new Forza Motorsport by adding them notes in the table (consider it a trivia)

Alright, let’s shake things up here. As you already know, Forza Horizon 5 is welcoming back Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Fiat, and Abarth next month. It means I could finally add these cars to the list (26 models in total). And oh boy, did it cause some rumble…

Let’s begin with the fact that the Kia Stinger is no longer leading the pack. Now it’s only a tiny point in the rear mirror of Alfa Romeo Giulia which has a staggering 668 votes. Meanwhile, three Lancia models took spots in the top 10. Here is the full list of new cars on the list and their vote counts:

  • 668 votes - 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio
  • 377 votes - 1986 Lancia Delta S4
  • 332 votes - 1992 Lancia Delta HF Integrale EVO
  • 325 votes - 1974 Lancia Stratos HF Stradale
  • 195 votes - 2007 Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione
  • 186 votes - 2014 Alfa Romeo 4C
  • 186 votes - 1982 Lancia 037 Stradale
  • 122 votes - 1992 Alfa Romeo 155 Q4
  • 109 votes - 2010 Abarth 500 esseesse [FH3] / 2016 Abarth 695 Biposto
  • 105 votes - 1968 Lancia Fulvia Coupe Rallye 1.6 HF
  • 89 votes - 1968 Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale
  • 83 votes - 1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA Stradale
  • 71 votes - 1975 Lancia Stratos HF Group 4 [FH3]
  • 69 votes - 1992 Alfa Romeo Milano Quadrifoglio Verde [FH3]
  • 61 votes - 1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia TZ2
  • 53 votes - 2017 Abarth 124 Spider
  • 47 votes - 2018 Alfa Romeo Stelvio Quadrifoglio
  • 46 votes - 1980 Abarth Fiat 131
  • 45 votes - 1952 Fiat 8V Supersonic [FH3]
  • 44 votes - 1968 Abarth 595 essesse
  • 43 votes - 1980 Fiat 124 Sport Spider
  • 40 votes - 1969 Fiat Dino 2.4 Coupe
  • 36 votes - 1934 Alfa Romeo P3
  • 36 votes - 1975 Fiat X1/9
  • n/a - 1985 Lancia Delta S4 Group B [FH3] (there is no thread to vote on the rally variant)

Naturally, we shouldn’t get attached to the majority of these cars (especially those from the top), as they’re posed to return in August (or later)

Oh, I’ve also removed two FH4 cars returning to Forza Horizon 5 with the Series 23 update:

  • 1973 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am SD-455 - 79 votes
  • 1973 Ford XB Falcon GT - 73 votes
  • There is also the 2018 DeBerti Ford Mustang GT in the update but it doesn’t have its own thread for voting and wasn’t included on my list.

Other notable changes on the list:

  • Volkswagen ID R breached the 200 votes mark and overtook Hyundai Genesis.
  • Infiniti IPL G Coupe has a new thread (together with Infiniti G37) and now stands at 65 votes (previously 46).
  • Same thing happened to the Maserati Ghibli S Q4 (42 → 55 votes).
  • 1977 and 1986 Aston Martin V8s are now together in one thread and have 69 votes.
  • The same goes for 2010 Morgan Aero Supersports and 2018 Morgan Aero GT (58 votes).

Aaaand they’re gone. I can already remove 16 cars from Alfa Romeo, Lancia, and Fiat/Abarth brands that were added to the list only in previous update. To be honest, I didn’t expect PG to reintroduce so many cars in FH5 at once

So only models left on the list are 2010 Abarth 500, Alfa Romeo P3, Alfa Romeo Milano, Alfa Romeo Stelvio, Fiat 8V Supersonic, Fiat Dino, Fiat X1/9, Lancia Fulvia, Lancia Stratos Gr. 4, and Lancia Delta S4 Gr. B (the last two are obsolete in fact, as their “Stradale” counterparts come with rally body kits).

Other notable changes:

  • Pagani Huayra has overtaken Shelby 1000 (by 2 votes).
  • Volkswagen ID R has moved one spot up as well, ahead of Subaru SVX.
  • McLaren 12C is now behind Chrysler 300
