So just tryed load up forza 5, then an updat poped up, anybody no’s whats it for.
Not sure can’t find anything different ? Maybe a few bugs ?
DLC.
I had to redownload a few cars. The DTM and the Aston Martin Zagato are the only ones I remember off the top of my head.
I noticed this as well. There are a significant number of cars unrelated to the car pack that seem to be re-downloading, starting at about 90%. Perhaps they contain new upgrades or car models?
It is primarily for the July car pack with a few tweaks likely embedded within.
Drivatar tweaks
i just got one now 14GB!!! wtf
Same happened to me, It’s looks like the console is making a new installation of the game, and maybe also install the update’s. Have no clue so far, still updating/installing … 75% finished so far, I thought it was the Carpack update… but it’s more. Hopefully I still have all my credits and cars after it finished…
I got the ready to start message at around 50% of the download/install, so i then booted up the game to check what has downloaded.
It appears everything is re installing, environments, cars etc etc.
Why would it need to reinstall everythin!!! ARGHHH

With Forza 5 you need to download all DLC even if you dont want it.
The update is only 856mb for myself.
My update was not that big less than 1gb. Its at 91% and I never start the game until 100%.
Always good to look around, and keep yourself informed: http://forums.forza.net/turn10_postst16712_7-1-2014-Content-Update-Notes.aspx
And for those downloading, please wait until the process completes before starting to nose around. The Xbox One system pauses downloads when other activity is happening in favor of “live” game play, plus accessing incomplete areas isn’t good for the save.

Hi, I was just browsing some old threads in the FM5 forums and your response caught my attention;
I don’t believe this is true; the Xbox One continues to download whatever it’s downloading as you play games, unless you manually pause the download.
And can you please tell me why it’s bad for the save or the game to play at the same time as downloading? I can understand if for example, FM5 is updating or downloading something, you may want to put your FM5 session on hold, but I don’t think this effects other games, correct? For example, I was downloading the Hor 2 F&F add-on the other day while playing FM5, shouldn’t be an issue I think?
Just want to get some facts straight.
Glad I discovered this thread.
I actually just created a thread hardly an hour back I think… discussing the same.
It’s my first time on FM5… the X1 + game should be arriving at my doorstep in an hour or two. I’m told by the seller that you need to install a 14GB content update.
For the first few sessions, I’ll be doing offline play only. Some questions:
- What do I need this update for?
- Does it include all three track DLCs and free cars that come with them?
- Do I need to not do anything else while the update downloads or can I still do offline racing?
- Since I’m doing offline racing only for a while, what am I losing out on by not downloading this update?
Thanks in advance.
Happy motoring!
