So I’m doing a 13gb update for the new track in forza 5 on xb1 and now it won’t continue updating because it is telling that my disc is damaged but there is nothing wrong with the disc. Has anyone run into this problem and if so how to fix?
Have you attempted the usual troubleshooting: eject/reinsert disc and complete console shutdown?
Last Monday we gotten a 2.8GB update so I wonder how your console says 13GB is needed (or more).
13 gig update? i think that would be every update since november not just the last update. and if its doing multiple updates i think it does them 1 at a time so it still wouldn’t say 13 gigs. are you sure it dosn’t say 1.3 gigs? take out the disk, turn the xbox off completely, suck the disk slot out with a vacuum incase a piece of lint has landed on the laser or something, wipe the disk off then try it again. if you get the same thing call xbox support. by disk it might mean your hdd disk or maybe your blueray drive is going out. either way its better to get it replaced for free while still under warranty.
