Update 12.0 Overview - Mid-Engine Month | Sep. 9 content update

My problem with Ai isn’t the rain, its their tires lasts longer than the player even when using Hard racing. That was so bad in the endurance month.
In the Shelby Series I had to pit twice using the stock vintage tires while drivatars didn’t pit at Nordschleife.
I repeated the race and switched off tire and fuel consumption.

Somehow, after reading all the patch notes, I’m underwhelmed? Can’t put my finger on why though…

Perhaps it’s because this stuff should have been in update 1-6? Or maybe because the game itself has very little casual appeal to me anymore.

Guess we wait for the update to land and see if it feels noticably improved.

Series / Schedule Changes

Forza GT4 Series now cycles weekly with Forza Touring Car Series (instead of cycling with Forza GT3 Series and Forza GT2 Series)

After update Touring Cars have dissappeared.

Looking for clarity on the above. Does this now mean touring cars only comes round every other week? Kind of alienating players who don’t race GT Series if this is the case.

Seems the schedule has also been implemented to take effect immediately.

Just tried to update and my friend and I have had our entire games uninstalled.
Just reinstalling it now.
Might have a bug somewhere

If it’s account-specific, submit a ticket at Forza Support so your details can be investigated.

Because these 600 cars feel like 60 cars because you do not use most of them in the Singleplayer Career which I play almost exclusively, and I know many other people mainly play it too despite it being empty and boring.
I will not be satisfied with FM’s car list until either all Xbox 360 models are replaced with new scans or all cars from all previous Xbox One Forza games are brought back.

Most of them are old… in live service racing game what content you can add? Cars and tracks… guess what? We don’t get tracks each month and now we nearly don’t get any new cars. Are you serious??? Even touring and gt lobbies became boring since there are no new cars for them… the car list is awful meanwhile forza boring Horizon 5 gets ton of cars even racing ones… this is mad man.
At this point even the crew motorfest and nfs unbound getting much more interesting cars than fm and it’s really a shame because i hate to play those games since their driving physics are trash but i love to race and drive in fm.

2 Questions:

  1. Is GT2 intentionally open and only up for 2 days?

  2. Why does the new variable weather tool limit you to only wet or only dry weather options?

Ai ignores tyre wear, weather or even what compound they use, in normal short races with collisions off and level 8 ai, using same car and max downforce settings, abusing soft tyres, I have hard time keeping with ai in corners even tho they are supposed to use medium compound and high fuel load. (Turning collisions on makes them lot slower tho)

Ai just cheats grip regardless of settings.

But on other side if ai uses car that don’t use race tyres, then they are rly slow.

I’m confused - the game launched with these features according to your advertisements, marketing and other promotional material. How is it the case that you are adding features listed at launch one year later?

Glad to see this. No point in managing tire wear when it only nets an extra 1/4 lap.

i cant play this game anymore , i want to buy more cars and upgrades but this game has a weak credit payout even with VIP , its no fun to play like this when it feels like a grindfest for credits.

Definitely true that you can’t have one without the other. Thunder is literally caused by lightening thermally expanding air and causing a sonic shockwave. You can often see lightening without hearing thunder (at night) when it’s not a CTG strike and the storm is over 10 miles away though.

Be amazed if the physics model has nailed an atmospheric model like :joy:

There’s absolutely zero “intent” besides looking like c… & absolutely no render budget savings at all. Given that the SOLUTION IS TO MAKE THEM FADE AWAY EARLIER ONCE THE GAMEPLAY CAM IS ROUGHLY 50 METERS AWAY FROM THE CARS I FRONT AND NOT 1 METER LIKE IT HAS BEEN SEEN LAUNCH !
