Update 11.0 Overview - Road to Race Month | August 12 update

You could AFK farm some money, just let a car drive with all assists activated on the Tri Oval and activate a Macro that presses a button every 30 seconds. I have one that does it with pressing “W”.

This can be done in rivals. Every two hours or something, you start another AFK race. I think there is a credit limit.

If you don’t have VIP, buy it. You get much more credits then.

Two tough races and two fairly easy ones I would say in the race event this week. Tyres died for me with a lap to go at VIR and Brands, which also happen to be the events where the AI is stronger. Comfortable win overall when starting 12th in each race but hard to win those two races I’d say. Thought the car was ok with a bit of tuning:

With the VIP bonus, I get about 20k per race if I get top 3, plus 2 level ups at 35k each, so about 150k max I’d say. I don’t know how much the two cars are without the manufacturer discount on top but can’t be much more than 200k? It’s a slight shortfall but you do then have an expensive car in your garage and, if you don’t like the car and sell it back at the end, you must make a small profit?

Think you are about right about 200k per car per session so roughly 800k in credits needed plus any upgrades from the get go.

I think if I dial down the difficulty then it may be easier to get the higher credits at 1 - 3 finishing position.

Still think this is a bit silly for this season. I guess it depends how much it’s worth getting the reward car but potentially a lot of work to complete.

Yes, it’s clearly ridiculous to require people to do 8 championships just to get one car.

After the replies that I got I have started farming at the tri oval set at 40 to 50 laps and nearly got enough for the next car after two runs! Thanks all.

So I haven’t been able to play for a while…

Got on last night and tried to get through the C7R series and had to turn my graphics settings all the way down just to make it through a couple of races without crashing to desktop. Unbelievable. They literally keep making it worse.

Literally cannot believe how poorly optimized this game is.

What system have you got?

The game runs fine for me. Using R9 5950x, RTX 3080 and 32 GB RAM.

Make sure to NOT use V-Sync.

I’ll have to make sure it’s disabled next time I get on. Hopefully that fixes it.

Its been a while since I switched RT on. To my surprise the game seems to be doing well even with my low settings. Theres something about having RT on that makes the presentation a lot more coheasive. Even the blurry reflections in the show room don’t seem to be as annoying. I may keep RT on for a while. I guess some behind the sceens optimization happened?

You’ve got a more capable machine than me and I’m able to run at 1440 max detail with RT fully on.

Check it’s not overheating?

I run an overlay using the Radeon software. I see both GPU and CPU hit low 60s in Celsius. Doesn’t seem like crazy temps to me.

Anyone else found that the AI is extremely quick in the Huracan race car event? I couldn’t catch the leaders in the first couple of events, albeit my tune could probably use some work.

Dang the RX7 got the GT vacuum cleaner treatment on the new game. :grimacing:

Do you get crashes on other cpu/GPU intensive games?

I did on Starfield, but I haven’t played it in ages. Not really my style of game. Code just came with the GPU. I honestly mainly bought it to run Forza on Ultra settings, and never really have been able to.

However I will say that early updates to Starfield did really cut down on the number of crashes. Meanwhile, updates to Forza have only seemed to make more crashes happen.

Weird. As there’s been more updates to FM it’s becoming more stable for me. I do still get the odd drip in FPS but much less common.

It might be worth trying Starfield again to see if you get any crashes, might be indicative of a wider problem.

What resolution are you using?

I’ll try to remember to open up Starfield this weekend.

Resolution is 3840x1080. Again, nothing that GPU should have any issues handling at all.

EDIT: Had to set graphics to low again to make it past through the first lap at Sebring with the Huracan. Would crash every time I went under the bridge before start/finish straight in any other setting.

Ok, so after playing with a bunch of settings I got it to where I can complete the single player races I tried on ultra, but now I get Radeon driver timeouts literally every race in multiplayer on ultra and high settings when I used to never have issues in multiplayer at all.

What even is this game?
