I want to suggest and kind of beg Turn 10 not to miss opportunity in creating a 10 year celebration unicorn car for Forza 4/5, Horizon 1/2. I think it would be great for Forza fans, because we couldn’t really experience the physical Forza 6 anniversary edition (or something along those lines), so it would be really nice to have something throughout other games of the series.
// And I’ll once again say, that it would be great that every new player who decides to experience Forza history, would get 10 year unicorns on start (allowing 100% completion for Forza 4).
// Other than that, bought Forza 6 Ultimate and wanted to thank you for an amazing job on that iteration. Blew me away, actually. And thanks for fixing the rewards system in older titles.
Although, Turn 10 may feel that, if many of the fans missed out on some really cool cars, then so be it…It’s really unfair to a lot, especially, if we hadn’t had the opportunity to win either of the Unicorns, due to our jobs and not being able to spend every second in Forza. It seems like you’re only catering to a certain fan base and not all your fans. I’m grateful to the few gifts that were given but also know that I would like to own these cars, considering that many of them were apart of the regular inventory in previous Forza games. Please reconsider and offer these for sale.
Unicorns were obtainable for 4 years. I don’t see how much longer they could’ve kept it up considering that unicorns have to be gifted manually, one at a time (from what I remember at least).
I do believe they need to make them obtainable from the game itself though. As I suggested several months ago, make them purchasable through the in game dealership once you complete all ten seasons of career. This way you get to keep unicorns mildly rare and exclusive, but you also have a legitimate way of obtaining them.
They are rewards you have claimed from the Hub/Rewards page here on the FM.net site, in the past - and in the case of the Skyline you would have had to collect it in game within 30 days of redeeming otherwise it will have been deleted (and they are not resent).
In my opinion, the worst part of the unicorns no longer being available is that there’s one event - Tuners of Japan Speedway Event - that is way more difficult without unicorns, since there are no cars that you can optimize for R3 that fit in the category. Sorry, off topic a little, but I’m really stuck, and I like speedway events so it’d be a shame to have to stick with my bronze on that one.
I had a friend that couldn’t beat that event (he doesn’t have any unicorns) some months back… All you have to do is go into the event list, go over to that event, hit the start button, and either change Opponent Upgrades to Stock, or change Class Restriction to Open. If you have the class restriction to open you can even use the Furai.
Hey Yabush, I had mucho troubles with the Tuners of Japan also. My bullheadedness would not allow me to knock the difficulty down a notch or two. I eventually found a car to do it in. I think there are videos in my SF of 2 of the races from that series.
It is possible but requires you to have a save in FM3 with a unicorn or 1 of the 2 VIP cars that are unicorns in FM4 (Ferrari and Lamborghini), play on a friends xbox which has the VIP pack (which will temporarily give you access to them) or the alternative is something that I will not discuss here and should not be done (and will lead to bans).
Isn’t it possible to downgrade the Furai to make it 100% legitimately usable in that Tuners of Japan Speedway event? I think that’s what I did… I think the engine swap for it drops it down to R3…top speed will be the lowest stat, but if I’m not mistaken, it’s still high enough to outclass everything else there. That all said, that is the event I, too, pointed out as yet another reason why the whole Unicorn situation was less than great.
One more annoying factor that contributes to that particular event being a piece of garbage is that at least one of the cars everyone CAN get, non-Unicorn, BUT the NPC controlled car will normally be rated higher than you can get yours. One of the Hyundais. Rhys Millen Genisis? You can get it to like R3 714, but that is IT. And the NPC controlled version? Higher, to say the least. All because the AI isn’t limited to parts-based PI, but instead has a different scale they get kicked up by. I’d be willing to bet that AI power/grip scaling is to blame for the Saleen being so incredible in the AI’s hands in the previous games, too. The S7 is great, but, wow, the AI was good with it, like it should have been in R3 rather than S, even back then…
The Furai can’t be dropped to R3, as far as I’m aware. And there aren’t any engine swaps for it, just a twin-turbo upgrade. I honestly can’t remember if the Furai could win without forcing the AI to run without upgrades; I think the Top Secret Supra just took off with its 1,000+HP.
You don’t import them - once you have completed the first intro race in FM4 the game looks for an FM3 save for the same GT on that console - and if it finds one it gifts you any cars you are eligible for. This is a one time thing and cannot be done after this point without starting a whole new save (which on Forza requires you to either delete your save or start a new save on another device - a thumb drive works for this).
