Not so Hurricane - there is no set number of posts, or time, for coming off moderation at the beginning of someone journey on these forums. The ONLY rule is to be a productive and positive member of the community - the better the posts people make and the more community minded their behavior the better. Posting in a small group of topics tends to help - just because ONE mod is more likely to see your posts and hence decide to take the person off moderation.
Below is a post from ManteoMax in the thread New forums FAQ and How to (which I have snipped to get to the relevant info):

Why are my posts taking so long to appear on the forums?
New users are under Moderated status automatically to review their posts for compliance with the Code of Conduct before the posts can appear on the forums. The review and approval of moderated posts is a manual process and may take some time, so please be patient and do not post duplicates. Please review the Code of Conduct linked above for FM.net Moderation Policy.
How long does it take to get off Moderation?
User account review is a manual process with no specific status change date. Your patience is appreciated. After a time of productive participation in the forums, the Moderated Status may be removed from your account and your posts will appear on the forums immediately when you post them.
SNIP.
Whoops, my bad! I knew that time alone wouldn’t get you off moderation, but I wasn’t sure about post count. I guess I was relatively lucky myself, though I won’t disclose the number of posts it took me to get off moderation. Once again to the OP, keep it clean!
