Tyres, wet weather

When racing on slicks, when it rains we should have to go in for wet tyres. Does anyone know how the game is affected by slicks anf wet weather because you’d be all over the place if you raced in the wet on slicks?

The races are either dry or rain. If the race is in the rain, you will start with rain tyres. There is no option to manually select tyre compound

I dont think the game simulates rain as rain, its just less grippy. I think race tyers(slicks) are good or great for rain races

From my understanding Forza does not have rain tires, so half way through the race when it starts to rain we use our Fast & Furious movie magic and boom we got slicks that perform in the rain. All we need now is a 16 speed Mitsubishi Eclipse.

Forza does have rain tires, use either the Indy car or the Formula 1 car on a dry track and you will have a set of slicks. If you use the same cars on a wet track it is obviously modeled with a set of rain tires. The way the weather works in Forza is you either have a dry track or a rain track from the beginning of the race and the game automatically makes racing slicks into rain tires. It is not possible to be on a dry track and have it start raining in the middle of the race.

there’s a few races where it starts raining a few laps into the race, from a dry start so how does Forza compensate for this?

There are two track types in Forza, ones where it can rain and ones where it can’t rain. Using Brands Hatch as an example go to free play and set up a race. Then you have the option for weather, one is a dry track and one is a rainy track. Depending on which one you select the game will either give you racing slicks or rain tires. You can set up the rainy track to not actually rain and the track will be dry, but it is still a rainy track and you will have rain tires.

Just like it can’t rain on Leguna Seca, if you select the dry track variant at Brands Hatch it can’t rain. The wet track variant at Brands Hatch can and will dynamically switch from raining to not raining, and the track will go from being wet to dry, but your car will always have rain tires on it. Again select any open wheel car with racing slicks on it and it is very clear that the game does have rain tires in it and when it applies them to the car.
