I’ve seen that the first tune when loading a tune is done by a gamer called WORM, I’ve tried a few but they just don’t seem to be quick enough, is it just me or do others have this problem?
I’m new to forums so please be gentle.
I don’t normally use other peoples tunes but i think Worm’s tunes are just fine.
i’v noticed that Worm tends to create Grip tunes nothing wrong with them, just have to drive them right while maintaining constant speed through corners.
Are they good?
“You are in the Top 1%”
Well I already knew that, but where in the top 1%?
It should have said, “You are in the Top 0.097%”
Is that good enough for ya? I don’t think that was my best finish with his tune either.
Tunes are funny as they work for my driving style but may not fit your style.
They are an excellent place to start. It seems this gamer has a great general understanding of the game and cars. You are correct, I have had to change to more specific tunes to achieve faster times in the rivals events. They are very good general tunes and can win a lot of online races.
Most of the Tuned by Worm tunes are easy to drive, grip tunes. As with any grip tune, they aren’t ideal for all tracks, but are great for some. You need to drive them in a way that maximizes cornering speed. Often, faster in a straight line doesn’t mean faster lap times.
So yes, they are decent, but I think most of the tunes TG Wormburner did from his personal account are better. His teammate TG Takumi has a pile of great tunes as well.
I could name off a dozen other great tuners, but I’d probably miss a few that deserve to be named as well, so I’ll just refrain.
Don’t clam up… please do mention any tuners whom you’ve had good experiences with,
I really like Worm’s tunes, anytime I don’t really feel like tuning a car for myself I will use one of his because I know that it is going to handle really well.
I have been using his tunes almost exclusively lately and for ME they are incredible. I am not a great driver yet but I have knocked at least 4 seconds off each lap that I have used his tunes on. 4 seconds right out of the gate average is pretty good. well to me it is :0
tunes by Worm are basic grip tunes. while at Turn 10 he tuned every car in the game with a basic grip tune that anyone could drive. his actual tunes TG Wormburner are a lot different.
The tunes were created prior to the game being released so those who cannot tune will at least have solid grip tunes to race in career or online at game launch. Worm is a great tuner; however if you would like his more refined and track specific tunes, you’ll have to check out his actual gamertag.
You’ll have to find other tunes from reputable tuners (see tuning section of these forums as a starter), including Worm’s actual gamertag, for faster cars. Or, you could experiment on your own.
Cheers people.
I think so. There are likely faster tunes out there, but I’ve found Worm’s tunes to be good all around tunes. They’re definitely reliable.
I like to download a tune done by Worm, and pick a few others. I’ll try them all out. Sometimes I like Worm’s most, sometimes I don’t. Not that the tune is bad, but maybe it feels too “tight”, and another tune allows me faster lap times. Other tunes might feel clearly faster, but the car feels too loose in the corners, and I’m prone to the back end spinning. So instead of using a tune that could make me faster 1 out of every 5 laps I manage to NOT spin out, I go with Worm’s tune where I am faster overall due to more control and consistency.
If you can’t or don’t want to tune a car yourself, try several of them out to find which ones suit you. A tuner you love on some cars may not be your favorite on others, just because of how they tuned the car for themselves, and the car’s general characteristics anyways.
TG Wormburner and TG Takumi are both great tuners. I also recommend tunes by Craviator and ThatGuysAverage. Good luck, drive clean, have fun!
I have had good luck with his tunes as well as his personal ones (TG Wormburner)
The “tuned by worm” tunes were meant to serve as a tune to help novice players more, but in reality, they are very good tunes for just about anyone who prefers a lot of grip for their cars. However, they are more difficult to win in when racing a track that is more speed oriented than handling. For instance, I couldn’t use the tune in career at Sebring with the Drivatar level maxed because the other cars would just pull away so fast on the straights that even with beating them in the turns, I couldn’t make up the time.
Worm’s tunes are awful. I mean, just absolutely dire. Seriously bad…
Joke! As said the ‘Tuned By Worm’ tunes are grippy tunes ideal for career races. TG Wormburner tunes are for dominating! That said I have a fair number of top 100 times with Tuned By Worm tunes - some people complain the Worm tunes don’t have enough straight line speed, but on a lot of tracks the corner speed more than makes up for it. I feel like I have said tunes too many times.
Tunes.
