Thanks for doing this for folks Drows. I usually tune myself and though I’m not fantastic it’s usually well enough to get me around the track. I have however hit a brickwall on an Alpha 8C with 800 PI being the target. Here’s the mods I used:
Suspension: Brakes, Springs, roll bars and weight reduction all race. Chassis reinforcement is Sport
Drivetrain: All race except driveshaft which is stock
Tires and Rims: Fiske Profil 5S, Front width 265, Rear Width 305(I’d prefer to stick with the FISKE wheels but if you want to add your own signature favorite then go for it)
Aero: Race bumper and Wing
Conversion: V12 Swap
That gets 50/50 weight distribution, 650hp and 2900lbs at 800 PI. This car is simply kicking me in the rear. I managed to get it very drivable for my style as long as the track is nice and flat. However my favorite track is the Alps and even being overly cautious results in crashes in several locations. Would you mind taking a shot at it and see what you can do?

Drows you nailed, sir. I went from being unable to put the thing cleanly around the track to a top 2% time that was filled with quite a few mistakes(screaming kid didn’t help). It is just slightly loose upon entry however it’s a controllable loose and seems to be very forgiving as I said there were several mistakes with my lap. I had 0 trouble with exit oversteer and I likely could have pushed it harder coming out of several turns since I was being a bit conservative. I simply couldn’t tune out elevation so on the several drop offs in the Alps circuit I’d completely lose it if my wheels weren’t perfectly straight. Your tune didn’t even try to lose control on the first crest before the big downhill, the turn just out of the tunnel or the last hill crest. My feelings wouldn’t be hurt at all if you didn’t change a thing as I turned a 1:53 in the Alps and definitely think for me that could be a mid-high 1:40s once I adjust to it.

Well, play with it some more, and give me more feedback.
I didnt play with the gearing at all, and I think it could use some fine tuning (I think the shift to the 6 in the long stretch is just at the wrong time)
I didn’t get too much more seat time last night after I posted, but hopefully I’ll have some quiet tonight. I did mange to shave the time down to 1:51 and noticed when I started to push it hard I would get a bit of understeer when I was expecting oversteer. Brake balance seems ok but I could use another 5% off. I usually run 80-85% depending on car weight. I still think I can get it into the 1:40s.

What about the gearing ?
Sorry, Brake Pressure is what I was referring to. I definitely would like to reduce that understeer but hold off on any changes and I’ll upload a replay for you at the end of my game time tonight. My internet is terrible so it will take several hours to upload meaning overnight.
V2 is currently online.

I just got home so I’ll definitely check it out. I wasn’t able to upload as I suspected my internet just isn’t fast enough and Xbox servers time out after about 50%.
Edit: Just sat down for a quick few laps before dinner and I could immediately tell it was faster coming out of turn 1 using V3. Lap 3 was a 1:49.654 and it was far from a perfect lap with a terrible slide at just before the downhill, a heavy foot on the turn after the tunnel and I was a bit jerky going through the slalom.
I haven’t tried V2 yet but V3 is perfect to me.
